Just past the warranty period. Now, we watch sports or movies with dark spots on the screen. Otherwise, we were happy with the purchase. I have to pay $125 to have a technician come to the house and diagnose it.

Had to wait until my wife joined me a few weeks later at our new house to set it up, as it is huge. Seemed great but only used for a few days prior to leaving on holiday trip. Now Dec 29, TV has only been used for a week (at most). Woke up this morning, turned it on, top half of screen noticably darker than rest of picture. Called Samsung Support, created service ticket, must wait for Service to contact me now. Merry Christmas! Always been happy with Samsung TV''s, but this is poor quality control on a brand new TV and it my opinion, should be replaced no questions asked under circumstances.
