My laptop had hard drive a few years old; wanted faster and reliable solid state drive. The Samsung SSD is faster and quieter than the hard drive; very pleased with this purchase. I bought online, used price matching with online chat agent, went smoothly, was notified 10 dollars off the price. You get a great warranty, fast speeds, unmatched reliability, and a true workhorse with this SSD. I use it for editing video, primarily 10-bit video and 4K, and it handles like a champ. I use these in my old LaCie enclosures so I get the protection I need and the style and speed I want in an external application!

My son's laptop was booting up very slowly. We went in to Geek Squad to get a tuneup and found out the his hard drive was failing at times. We upgraded to a Samsung Solid State Drive. So far, so good! The laptop boots up quickly and runs much faster than before! Looking forward a much smoother experience now.

Upgraded my 4yo Lenovo laptop from a Hard Drive. Laptop now boots up faster, and is all around faster running Windows, and various programs (including photo and video editing programs). My browser runs faster as well. For the price of SSDs nowadays, save your $$ on a new computer or laptop and upgrade to a SSD. You won't be sorry.

NVME SSDs are coming down in price so I would recommend purchasing those moving forward but this SSD is excellent and comes from a manufacturer that knows how to make excellent flash memory. I don't know if the cells are stacked or if it has a dramm chip (it should) but I know it's fast and reliable for a sata based ssd.

I've used quite a few Samsung Evo drives in my laptops and desktop PCs. I also use the AES hardware encryption on the drives and have never had an issue with the Samsung Evo SSDs over the 4 - 5 years I've been using them. Added this drive to my 5 year old gaming PC. It was a great improvement from my last hard drive, increasing game load times and helped extend the life of my system. I have purchased several of the Samsung EVO line for other builds and they are always solid drives. If you are looking for reliability and speed these SSD's are the best choice.

I have purchased 3 of these EVO drives to update a 2010 iMac, a 2011 MacBook Pro and a 2012 MacBook Pro to an SSD drive. The process was super easy for each upgrade, and it really breathed new life into well built machines that were just becoming a bit slow due to having older technology hard drives. I highly recommend these Samsung EVO drives.

Upgraded my older laptop with SSD with Windows 10 reinstallation thats worth the speed up on booting and able to run like new. This is my 4th Samsung SSD, i have used and all are working pretty well and after a year it is still like new laptop boots in 20 sec.

When any of my clients inquire about speeding up their computers, I recommend this drive. It's a quick, inexpensive, and easy way to boost performance on any machine that is currently running a spinner (mechanical HDD with platters.) When I say inexpensive, I do not mean cheap. These work great and are reliable. All the various capacities work equally well.

Bought this drive to replace an older sata drive in my sons laptop. The laptop was pretty much unusable due to vendor bloatware. Install and setup was easy. Also doubled RAM along with HDD. Laptop now runs better than the day we powered it on for the first time. Really impressed by how much more responsive the laptop is now.

what can I say, I bought the 1tb version to add extra storage to my ge75 raider 9sg. it already came with 2tb of nvme.2 storage. I've since filled up the entire drive as well as one of the nvme's. I can't really notice a difference in speed from playing games on the evo vs my Samsung nvme drives. they're all amazingly fast.

Absolute made my office computer work 100 times better and faster. Absolutely would recommend a solid state drive SSD hard drive! Huge difference on speed, reliability, software response and internet experience. This is the best thing you can do to lift your old computer and bring it to life.

My PS4 Pro was glitching out and constantly freezing. After several initializations I decided to see if the hard-drive was the problem. I installed the hard drive in a couple minutes and the PS4 booted up quicker than ever. Everything is now running smoothly and flawlessly.

Installed in my all in one computer. Had to buy an adapter to make it fit. No big deal. Had to buy a USB 3.0 to SATA cable to clone current hard drive. Cloning takes about two hours. Samsung has the cloning software on it's web site free. The hardest part of exchanging hard drives is to remove the back of the all in one. After that you just remove several screws, the old hard drive then slips out, then in with the new. Plugged in the computer and off we went. Twenty four seconds later I am operating. Use to take about ninety plus seconds to boot. Programs load in a fraction of time. On the down side are the instructions. Could be much better. Then trying to register the product with Samsung. Have not been able to do that yet. Short of that, a worth while upgrade. FAST!

Needed a last minute replacement as my HD was gasping it's last breaths. Luckily this SSD was affordable and easy to install. Easy to clone using the Samsung Magician, which was downloadable off their website. It took a few minutes to install and maybe 10-20 mins to clone. Everything has run smoothly.

This drive is a replacement to the original 2TB hard drive that came with my Dell XPS 8700 PC. The installation went very smoothly and it only took about 25 minutes to get it all completed. Very happy with the results. Kudos to the gentleman behind the Geek Squad desk who provided me with pointers on how to get it all done.

Honestly one of the best ssd out there with price and performance. I love this! The best buy employee that helped me has helped me in the past was great! She's definitely kid friendly lol because my daughter was with me obviously being a rowdy kid and the employee was awesome about it!

Bought this to replace a slow and failing hard drive on a 2013 imac 21.5 inch. The machine not only runs like new, I'd say its about 4-5 times faster than when it was new. Boots up from shutdown status in seconds rather than minutes. Was a on sale for 99 at the time. Great value.

This EVO digital drive replaced a Mac Pro laptop hard drive. The 1TB drive was easy to format for Mac and load OSX . Drive was a snap to install and Lap top performance was increased using SSDdrive. Boots faster, faster access to files. No mechanical hard drive crash worries. Excellent low cost upgrade.
