I purchased this for my Razer laptop to install all my games on. It works great, plenty of storage and extremely fast, though not nearly as fast as the NVMe versions, but in terms of what I need it for its not a noticeable difference. Would highly recommend this drive to anyone looking for a 1TB 2.5” SSD.

My old hard drive gave out, and I needed a replacement. I figured "why not jump to SSD?". I'm glad I did. It costs more than traditional HD's, but the speed and reliability are worth it. I've had this as the primary driver in my machine for almost a month. Everything installed fine, and runs faster than before.

When using Samsung data migration and the magician software, hard drive replacement is extremely simple, straight forward and very easy to do. A novice would look like a season veteran. I cannot say enough. I cannot say enough about Samsung 860 EVO SSD drives. I have them installed in all of my computers.

Samsung has its own software that you can use with this SSD drive that doesn't cost extra. The software can help you copy or move over files from one drive to another. I've had the drive for almost a couple of months now and have had no issue. The speed of my desktop was greatly improved.

The SSD has been installed for about 30 days now, running perfectly with no issues. Migrated my OS Image over from an old spinning HDD, and I'm blown away by how much faster everything loads. SSD was not overpriced for these speeds, and if it continues to hold up then the 5 star rating will stand!

The is a great drive! I am very impressed with the performance of this drive. I bought it on sale and while I it took a bit to get things up and running from doing a fresh install. I must say this drive really surprised me. I was previously using an older pro series drive, for an evo I was shocked that this one blows that one way.

This is my favorite SATA III SSD. Of course NvMe drives are faster, but the 860 EVO is no slouch. I installed one in a 5 year old Dell laptop. It runs like a brand new PC. I was so impressed I bought another and threw it in my desktop as a data drive (it has an NvMe boot drive).

I have these installed in many computers and laptops throughout the house, some windows based and some Apple based and they all seem like new computers after you upgrade from an old platter based hard drive. Amazing performance gain and I have never had an issue with one of these drives! Fantastic product!

If you're looking to upgrade the hard drive in your laptop I highly recommend this one. It has all the storage room I need for my photos. It's lightning fast and the prices have come down dramatically in the last year or so. It's brought new life to my Toshiba laptop and I'm looking for to continuing to use it for many years to come.

Trust that this SSD will support you for years to come. This thing boots up my pc in little to no time, huge games on it boot up significantly faster than the HDD housing those games before it. Don’t question the purchase price especially if found under $140. If you have the money, pull the trigger.

I just built a PC and the first SSD I bought which was also a Samsung EVO was only a 500gb which ran out pretty quick. I picked this up for a secondary storage device. Works great! Easy setup, I did have to manually go into my pc settings to get it to register, but there’s YouTube videos for that. So overall great buy!

I bought this speed up my old laptop. Installed this and boot time went from a few minutes to under 30 seconds. Super easy to transfer everything from the HD to the SSD. I just had to plug the SSD in using a USB adapter and the software took care of the rest.

Working great in my main system as the primary drive. It's an older machine but the performance with this drive has been great for the money. I definitely like the Samsung SSDs and this one has worked as expected. That's why I've got 3-4 of them in various machines.

After installation the boot time really speeded up. I had a first gen 256 GB SSD and only had 18 GB of free space available. The new 1 TB SSD solved that problem in a hurry. Operating system and everything else was copied over using Samsung's migration setup. I'm really impressed with this new drive.

Works great and great speed. Ended up getting this over the 850 Pro as the price was about the same since i got this on sale. I run my OS on this and boots up in about 5 seconds straight to desktop. Some factors will vary depending on your desktop/laptop build. I have a couple games running on this SSD and it handles them with no issues.

Had no issues transferring Win10 and programs. Learned from previous SSD upgrades that this is the best upgrade for a computer. Samsung is usually not my first choice but the price was right and it was the only model available in a pinch. My son has been running a Samsung SSD in an old iMac for a couple of years with no issues.

I am done with mechanical drives. I have replace all my hard drives with these Samsung drives. Easy to clone your old hard drive onto one of these babies. Boots up in a few seconds now. Don’t buy a new computer before you upgrade from your old mechanical drive to this SSD!

Installation is the same as for a SATA drive. The speed is incredible when compared to a physical drive. I replaced an old style drive and now my laptop boots so quickly I can be logged in and loading programs in less time that it took to get to the log in screen before.

Make an aging dell i7 computer feel wicked fast. Boots from stop in 7 seconds. Shuts down in 6 seconds. Love it. Single best improvement for any computer. The Samsung software to switch to this drive work very good. Very easy to switch drives, just follow the directions.

My 5 yr old Dell desktop is like new after upgrading to SSD. OS boots blazing fast, as does loading apps. General speed of my machine is better than it was new. Should have done this a long time ago! Lastly, super easy to clone my existing hard drive to this drive with the free Samsung software download.
