Internal SSD Samsung

I have replaced the hdd in my laptop as well as my desktop. Noticed increase in response time when booting up. I also use these to clone my machines. Backups take a fraction of the time. Why do I use these as backup? when and if the ssd fails I just slip this in. Is this a good use for the ssd? Doesn't matter, it makes my computing easier and faster.
