This is a hard drive. You can put your files on it. I bought a couple of these to replace some old spindle drives in my Windows pc. They work really well. The machine boots faster. The drives have a bunch of storage so I don't have to keep telling Steam to save games on different drives. It's nice.

Was able to sang this on sale at two different times, and I'm extremely happy with the size and overall experience with these drives. Writing speeds are excellent, I don't see any dips in performance in loading for games or plugins for music programs.

The hard drive was obviously going out on my Mac Mini. Lots of dragging load times, false “no operating system” boots, failed wake from sleep, hard drive click of death... I picked up this SSD on a Black Friday sale. So I stuck this new solid state drive in there and did a clean install of the latest Mac OS. The difference is incredible. My 2012 Mac Mini flies now. If you’re thinking of doing this, I recommend doing what I did. Make a bootable Mac OS usb installer and start it from scratch. It’s like double prizes because it’s a new SSD and you get that crisp, new “Hello” setup screen like you just bought a new Mac. And if you were having performance issues linked to a failing hard drive like me, it’s literally going to feel like a brand new Mac. Good luck! Follow the OWC installation guide on YouTube!

Replaced a HDD drive on a new Dell laptop I purchased in December 2018. Well worth the cost. Much faster boot ups, and read/writes. Much cheaper to upgrade to this drive than purchase with it pre-installed (you loose other features on the laptop if you order SSD pre-installed, go figure).

SSD prices are falling and now is a good time to replace your hard drive which is the last obsolete piece in a computer today. I actually put this in a brand new Asus media center that came with a hard drive. Threw it out and put this Samsung 1TB SSD. Computer boots up in 10 seconds. Very happy with it.

Works perfectly! I had to reinstall windows and thought I'd upgrade from the traditional HDD while I was at it. My computer feels brand new again. Great drive, great value. This is my 2nd drive for a 2nd computer. Both times have been great.

I replaced a conventional hard drive woth this SSD and a 32 gig msata with a 500 gig msata. The improvement is incalculable incredible. Both old drive went bad, suspect from the conventional one going bad and placing massive heat inside. Would reccomend these Samsung SSD drive.

Anytime I can afford a extra SSD to throw in my rig I take it. These things are easy to install and Samsung Magician is fairly easy to use. If you want your PC to fire up instantly than these are priceless. Once you go SSD you never go bacl.

Fast and easy to install. If upgrading from an older style mechanical hard drive, download the free Samsung software to clone the drive and then remove the old drive and you're all set. Boot time went from several minutes to about 15-20 seconds.

I use portable hard drives for my music. I start replacing the internal drives with the Samsung solid-state. They are proving to be so much faster while being so much lighter. And they are being sold at such a great price. This is my second Samsung ssd purchase and will be buying more.

I was upgrading my laptop from a 500MB regular drive to solid state. This drive is awesome! My laptop boots up so fast it's insane. This was the best upgrade I have ever done. Everyone says the Samsung drives are the most reliable. The cost was the same as others so why not get the best!

Awesome... it was used to put in a PS Pro 4-device. The PS4P now runs way faster & has made it way more efficient. It definitely fixed the problem & was the best decision I could have made to fix the PS4 it is like Brand New now. They no-longer make PS4 Pro-devices anymore so it was way cheaper than having to trade it in for a refurbished one, or/verses buying the next level up which is the New PS-5. I highly recommend anybody who has a PS4/Pro if you are having problems with the hard drive get this Samsung hard drive to fix/replace the old one. It was easy to take out the old hard drive & replace it back in with the new Samsung Drive. Just make sure you look up on U-Tube videos on how to take out the hard drive properly & how to install it back in properly First before proceeding in doing anything else. Thumbs up!! ☆☆☆☆

Yes, it's a little more expensive than other brands but hey, if you have precious data to store, it's better to invest a little more and get one of the best SSD. I used it to change the old hard drive from a laptop and boot speed increased substantially, it's like new all over again!

Needed to upgrade my 500GB hard drive in my laptop. Read reviews about this devices performance/cost per GB. Went ahead and purchased it, haven't looked back since. Insane speeds compared to stand hard drive disks. No noise or vibrations due to no moving parts. Highly recommend

Will buy Samsung SSD’s all day long. This is my third one. I buy them for my pc’s and to help upgrade friends pc’s. The prices are getting so much better. Upgrading to an SSD put a breathe of new life in my 2012 MacBook Pro. You won’t regret it.

Did a lot of research before purchasing this drive. Wanted at least 1TB of storage on a fast SSD drive. This fit the bill perfectly, Samsung has great support just in case something goes wrong but I don't expect that to happen. Simple plug and play and the drive is lightning fast.

Great drive, I have always liked the Samsung Evo line of SSDs, great for consumers and always great prices. Purchased to replace a relatives platter drive. Easy install and quick on boot, they seen the difference a good SSD makes on a computer

Hello, I purchased this Samsung Solid State drive to replace an old drive in my laptop. And the software that it comes with was awesome. I hooked it up to a drive duplicator and ran the software to replicate my old drive. It was also very easy to install in my laptop. It increased the drive access speed of my laptop to almost three times as fast as it used to take to access the information on my old drive. I am very pleased with the performance of this drive and there is no lag when accessing your programs and data stored on the SSD. Since the SSD came out there is only one make that I trust with my data and that is Samsung period. So if you are looking for a very dependable drive to speed up the performance of their old computer I suggest a Samsung SSD fo their project.

Excellent drive, blazing fast. It makes my 8 year old HP Core i5 Win7 laptop run like a new computer. I used Samsung's free (download) software to clone my old drive to the new one. It took about 6 hours, but went smoothly. Very happy.

I own 3 of these. It's a fantastic hard drive. It really is. I have almost zero complaints and continue to do fine with it. Fast, reliable, easy to install. Really worth every penny. Can't say much else. If you want an SSD this is my default go to.
