I upgraded my HDD to this SSD and also installed 16GB of RAM. My boot up speed is now fantastic. Previously I could go and brew a pot of coffee with the HDD and 6 GB OEM set up. Now all my pages load very fast. I dare say lightning, but relative to original drive, its super fast now. I'm really happy with his improvement. I used the Samsung transfer software and no glitches! Note: The Samsung Magical Software will not recognize the SSD if its connected by a SATA - USB cable (btw, Amazon $10). But clone it anyhow with Samsung transfer software, install the SSD into the laptop and everything is fine. Once installed as primary, the Samsung Magical Software will recognize the EVO 860. The only thing that did not configure properly was my Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks. They were there, I just had to set up the Firefox tool bar to "Show All Bookmarks" and voila. Overall very easy job and my Intel i3-Gen6 is performing like a champ with this upgrade. Go for it.

I have purchased (Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive ) over the weekend and it has made my computer run fast as crazy. I am love in it, also easy to clone from Samsung Magician data migration. Well done Samsung..!

Wanted to swap out my original PS4 Hard Drive with an SSD for some added storage as well as better performance. This SSD is a huge jump forward in load times and boot times. Easy to swap out the PS4 drive, I recommend doing it!

I upgraded my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13” i5 with this SSD and it works awesome! My performance speed has increased by over twice it’s original speed! I still have only 4GB of RAM, yet it’s able to handle tasks much more efficiently and quickly than it did before! It shipped pretty quickly, and customer service was great! I would highly recommend this product to anyone who still has a mechanical hard drive spinning in their machine, the speed gain is probably the most significant upgrade you can get!

Migration from old style hard drive in an HP all in one style computer could not have gone smoother. Samsung data migration software worked flawlessly albeit a little slow. (4mb/s transfer speed) Nonetheless, the boot time is incredibly fast, as are all other functions. Figured I would use screws that mounted the old hard drive to the bay on the new drive. Nope, different size and Samsung does not include mounting screws.

Good quality SDD that has lasted me 3+ years, there are now better options though for the same amount if not cheaper, so do your research into NVME M.2 like Crucial, Samsung, or Western Digital before pulling the trigger on a regular SSD.

I bought the 2tb Samsung Evo 860 to upgrade my PS4 Pro. I was a little put off by the price at first since it cost nearly as much as the console itself, but after having it installed for a few months now I'm glad I did it. The starting times when opening a game have become faster and load screens between scenes are much quicker. Also game installs and update times have been shortened. Over all the load and start times aren't exactly cut in half, but when you go from using a stock HDD to an SSD it's definitely a noticeable difference. The biggest perk to upgrading has actually been the lower temperature given off by this drive compared to the stock HDD. Anyone who's played PS4 or Xbox is aware of the over heating issues that can occur during long gaming sessions. Due to the fact that the SSD has no moving parts, it produces less heat then the older stock drive. With the amount of money invested in gaming systems today between games, accessories, subscription's and the console itself, anything that will decrease the chances of overheating and prolong the consoles life is a welcome addition. Over all I would recommend the product to anyone who's looking to upgrade their gaming console or computers storage space, speed and longevity.

If you're looking for an SSD, look no further and go straight to the Samsung EVO line. This line of SSDs have a proven track record with fast performance and longivity. When you need more space or are building a new system, the EVO line should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

This is a great drive that I got for a great price on a Black Friday discount. I purchased this drive to add more space to my computer for Steam Games. I also have a 1TB Samsung 850 Evo that I got about 3 years ago and it costed twice as much as this drive. SSD prices are really coming down. Now my computer has a total of 2 TB of SSD storage which is plenty for all my Steam Games. Samsung is one of the best brands hands down when it comes to SSD's This drive has the better MLC NAND compared to the lower quality TLC NAND found in many other drives today. My only complaint about this drive was that it did not include any mounting screws. Other SSD's I have purchased in the past included mounting screws but for some reason this one didn't.

Getting an SSD is one of the best upgrades you can do for an old computer, the difference in everyday tasks is pretty amazing. Applications no longer take forever to open and the computer starts in seconds instead of minutes.
