Great replacement for my 5400 rpm drive, PC boots in seconds instead of minutes now, games load instantly. Super easy to install and clone my old data to it. (Macrium Software)

Since I moved my main machine over to this drive, the performance increase has been amazing. Everything is running much faster, from loading applications and games to system startup time.

Exactly what I needed from a SSD. Very easy installation and setup. Hard drive is super fast and has eliminated nearly all load times in the games I play.

Used it to migrate data to my new computer. Worked like a champ at a fantastic price point. (I have 2 other 460GB EVO drives, both of those continue to perform fantastically)

I have two home built PC's we use for a small in home business, they are going on 11 years old. They both have the Asus M4A785TD-V-EVO MB. I wanted to put together two new machines this year, however parts are in short supply. Of course this drive will be welcome in any new build, but was not sure about a new ssd with an older mother board supporting only 3Gb/s and older AMD chipset would it be worth it. YES IT WAS copying the old drive and installing the new one went without any problems. Boot-up is about one fifth the time, it feels like a new build. Now I can live with my old PC's a while longer.

I was using a 1tb hard drive. When that got full I thought I would upgrade to an ssd. That was a great choice. For anyone looking for a fast high storage drive I highly recommend this one.

I bought this to upgrade my 500gb Samsung drive. The 500 has lasted two years without any issues. I figured I could use the larger drive and not need an older sata drive I use for storage.

I bought this to speed up the boot sequence for my laptop... things are a lot quicker now. If you do the same, make sure that you get the same size as your HD to ensure a smooth transition.

The Samsung EVO drive is one of the best drives on the market. The speed and reliability is second to none. If you value your data. Than this is the drive to go with.

Hi had a hard drive that was failing and after Geek Squads suggestion, I purchased this hard drive for my laptop. This SSD is lightning fast and performing beyond my expectations.

The prices have went down on SSDs. I just picked up this Samsung 860 EVO with 1TB for $199. SSDs make laptops and desktops perform better all around. This is a great deal at a great price.

Replaced my laptop hard drive with this SSD. It'd like a new machine! Super fast! I have bought two more since this one and replaced all hard drives to SSD.

Great hardware! Loads my PS4 much faster with game titles and simple to install. Formatting is a breeze. No regrets with this purchase.

We used this ssd to replace a hard drive on a six year old PC. All I can say is wow what a difference. Everything boots right away and the computer runs so much faster now.

Great replacement for my aging laptop. Makes my 10 years old laptop perform better and faster after replacing HDD with this SSD. You will need an eSata to USB Connector cable.

Solid SSD. Cheaper or the same price as competition like western digital except Samsung does it better. Goes on sale often too which is great.

Fantastic speed improvement over HDD. I used this in my desktop and cloned the OS. Turns on and off so much faster I can't believe I didn't buy this sooner.

Upgrading from an old HDD to this Samsung SSD has been the most performance changing upgrade on my PC. Now my PC boots up under 20 seconds! Highly recommended.

Love the new SSD. A restart used to take about 3 minutes, now it takes about 45 seconds. The free cloning software worked flawlessly. My two HDD's copy at 200 MB/sec now instead of 100.

Bought this to upgrade an '09 MBP. I've purchased a Samsung SSD Evo 860 for PC laptop, and it's done wonders. Bought this b/c it's well reviewed and was able to get on sale. The bootup isn't particularly as fast I thought it would be (as it was w/ my PC), but I could tell that everything else is faster, including shut down. I don't have actual metrics, but it's more the eyeball test. I'd recommend this to anyone esp. if wanting to preserve and extend the life of an old laptop. Heck, get one to even replace your newer laptops too, esp if you have an the traditional spinning hard drive, and use the old one as external hard drive.
