I recently upgraded my 2012 MacBook Pro and it literally runs like a current machine. It was an immediate boost in speed and performance. I would highly recommend it.

The prices have went down on SSDs. I just picked up this Samsung 860 EVO with 1TB for $199. SSDs make laptops and desktops perform better all around. This is a great deal at a great price.

Great harddrive used in new gaming rig. The system boots very fast with this SSD. I am using with 1650 TI and the system gives some really great numbers.

Got this and install into a laptop. Dramatically improves system boot time and overall performance of my laptop. No problems or errors with the drive in over a year.

Bought this to upgrade an '09 MBP. I've purchased a Samsung SSD Evo 860 for PC laptop, and it's done wonders. Bought this b/c it's well reviewed and was able to get on sale. The bootup isn't particularly as fast I thought it would be (as it was w/ my PC), but I could tell that everything else is faster, including shut down. I don't have actual metrics, but it's more the eyeball test. I'd recommend this to anyone esp. if wanting to preserve and extend the life of an old laptop. Heck, get one to even replace your newer laptops too, esp if you have an the traditional spinning hard drive, and use the old one as external hard drive.

Love the new SSD. A restart used to take about 3 minutes, now it takes about 45 seconds. The free cloning software worked flawlessly. My two HDD's copy at 200 MB/sec now instead of 100.

I have two laptops, one for learning about computers and one for my serious stuff, email, browsing, etc. Both clones of the mechanical hard drives went well and ssd installation into the laptops was easy, other than getting the back covers off the machines. Both machines went from upwards of 2 minutes plus to boot down in 14 to 20 seconds. Program response is equally fast and reliable. I highly recommend the two programs from Samsung; Magician and file transfer. You will love the SSD and its performance improvements.

Used this to replace a spinning drive and boot time went from 30 seconds to 4 seconds. This should be mandatory. Love that it came with the mount and the cables needed.

Best SSD for the price! Better than HHD, used this to upgrade my Xbox one 5400 rpm low HHD to this. This made a world of difference and performance.

I purchased 3 of these drives for my PCs and for backup use. They work great and are very fast and reliable. Can't go wrong with these drives.

This has really made a positive change in the performance of my HP Alien laptop. It was running so hot I could almost keep my tea warm by the fan. Now the fan barely purrs!

Fast SSD drive. I will never buy a different brand SSD drive for my PC. Have owned several and never had an issue. Used to replave my PS4 hard drive.

I highly recommend this product if you want speed and performance. I’ve installed this SSD in my 1st generation PS4 and haven’t had any issues since the purchase date.

Need more storage with lots of speed. This changed everything when it comes to pc gaming. Loading maps and making fast travel incredibly fast. Love it!

After a few weeks of running this ssd as my storage media it seems to be absolutely rock solid. I purchased this particular ssd because I was excited to see a 1 tb ssd finally down in price to a reasonable range. I was able to pull my mechanical hd's out of my computer and replace the last one with ssd. This makes a huge difference when you are working with really large files. Still an important component in a satisfying build.

I installed this on my wife’s 2012 mackbook pro. Wow what a speed upgrade. Boot up was 50% faster even on an old computer. Well worth the money to breath new life into a macbook.

Works great. Would have loved a 1 tb drive but only size allowed for my Pc. Runs fast and was easy to install. I have several Samsung Ssd drives.

This Samsung ssd is very fast but costly. Very good quality and easy to replace pc and ps4. Recommend this ssd if u have a slow pc that need to speed things up!!

I purchased this Samsung 860 EVO SSD becasue I was told by the person doing some repair work on my desktop computer that my hard drive was showing a lot of wear and that it could die sooner than later. The SSD was installed in my desktop computer and the programs and data files on my HHD were transferred without a problem. Once the SSD was installed the computer started up fast, programs started quicker and data was retrieved faster. All things being considered it appears to have been a wise choice to purchase the SSD. Also in reading articles on SSDs it appears that the SSD drive lasts at lealst twice as long as an HHD.

Instantaneous change in laptop performance upon installation (recommend you clone existing drive to this drive to this drive, prior to installation). This is maybe the 20th SSD I've installed on both employee towers and laptops. Never had a disappointing result, and in the case of Samsung's 860 EVO - Standard SATA interface, the benchmarks were impressive, + 500/500 R/W. This of course will vary based upon other hardware, but one could reasonably expect a SIGNIFICANT CHANGE in speed.
