Very fast hard drive. A huge upgrade from the old "platter style" hard drives. This is one of the best SSD's you can buy.

Amazing speeds at a great price, I use it for video recording using my Atomos Ninja V and it delivers on both performance and value.

I installed this on my wife’s 2012 mackbook pro. Wow what a speed upgrade. Boot up was 50% faster even on an old computer. Well worth the money to breath new life into a macbook.

After a few weeks of running this ssd as my storage media it seems to be absolutely rock solid. I purchased this particular ssd because I was excited to see a 1 tb ssd finally down in price to a reasonable range. I was able to pull my mechanical hd's out of my computer and replace the last one with ssd. This makes a huge difference when you are working with really large files. Still an important component in a satisfying build.

I'm using this drive to store all of my games on. It's fast and works as expected. Easy to setup. I may get another when it goes on sale again.

Instantaneous change in laptop performance upon installation (recommend you clone existing drive to this drive to this drive, prior to installation). This is maybe the 20th SSD I've installed on both employee towers and laptops. Never had a disappointing result, and in the case of Samsung's 860 EVO - Standard SATA interface, the benchmarks were impressive, + 500/500 R/W. This of course will vary based upon other hardware, but one could reasonably expect a SIGNIFICANT CHANGE in speed.

Best SSD I’ve found for the right mix of price, performance, and reliability. Don’t forget to check SAMSUNG’s site for Windows drivers and flash updates.

I purchased this Samsung 860 EVO SSD becasue I was told by the person doing some repair work on my desktop computer that my hard drive was showing a lot of wear and that it could die sooner than later. The SSD was installed in my desktop computer and the programs and data files on my HHD were transferred without a problem. Once the SSD was installed the computer started up fast, programs started quicker and data was retrieved faster. All things being considered it appears to have been a wise choice to purchase the SSD. Also in reading articles on SSDs it appears that the SSD drive lasts at lealst twice as long as an HHD.

This drive is lightweight and easy to install. My system was faster since there were no moving parts in the drive to search for data. Definitely recommend SSD all the way!

I love the Samsung 860 series, very easy to use, excellent free software utility (Samsung Magician). Really improves overall performance when replacing a mechanical drive.

Purchased the SSD to use in my laptop (Predator 300 2019). Laptop install went really easy; laptop is working fantastically now. Can't go wrong with Samsung reliability.

Much faster than hdd and was very easy to install. I used a third party software to clone my operating system and I was up and running in about 45 minutes total.

The pc is much faster. Boots up in 7 sec vs 45 sec. Programs load much faster. This is my 2nd ssd from Samsung. Great device, love the performance.

Good for the price, easy to install. Purchased to add 2nd drive to my HP Gaming Laptop. So easy to install after watching how to on youtube.

SSDs are the only way to go, the price point of these has come down so amazingly. If you have the money or space you could go PCI express but why when this SSD is only $130 or so.

I compare this to the old school SATA drive III to SSD drives first when I do a clean install and reinstall the operating system, apps, drivers, and updates. As a result, it's a huge difference for 7 seconds of shutdown time and 10 second seconds for the shutdown time and loading time and clicking the apps is a huge difference than the old school SATA which runs on spindles and when it's starting to go broke it clicks for spindles unlike the SSD it's quiet and fast I'm happy to have Samsung EVO 860 it's like a jet when it starts

Super fast drives. Seem to last long too. put the Samsung software in rapid mode and big performance increase.

Huge upgrade for my pc. Went from taking minutes to boot and load games with and hhd to booting and loading games in a matter of 5 seconds. Great product.
