$30 more, than the 4 bit Samsung 860 QVO, but double the write endurance, and better performance. When looking for an SSD, you'll be tempted to go with the cheaper option, but don't, at that point, you're better off getting a hard drive. This is a 3 bit/TLC SSD, you want to avoid the 4 bit/QLC, in my opinion, until its much cheaper, cause the 4 bit is way too overpriced right now, considering how much better 3 bit is.

I was waiting for the prices of the 1TB SSD drives to come down and just as I needed one, they did. Nice drive, just slips into the laptop's drive slot and you almost instantly have another 1TB. Startup time decreased and battery should last a bit longer too. If you are changing your main drive you'll have to image your current drive but it is worth the time.

My desktop was a bit slow loading and saving documents at times, so I had Geek Squad clone its hard drive to this SSD, then replaced the hard drive with this. Much quicker! I had previously bought a lower-cost SSD, but Geek Squad advised me that my clone-and-swap strategy might not work with the other brand. I was surprised how quickly Geek Squad completed the swap.

I built my first gaming PC in June with a 2TB HDD to hold me over until I could get an SSD for a good price. Once I saw this drive going for $110, I knew I had to get it. Once I installed it into my system and transferred all my games to it, I decided to boot up the game I was currently playing and would be the best test for load times; Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Whereas before on the 2TB HDD it would take between 10 and 25 seconds to go from the title menu to in-game, now it takes less than 5. But what I had never thought of when thinking of load times is what really blew me away: texture pop-in. On the HDD, textures would sometimes be muddy and take a few seconds to fully render. But now the pop-in is non-existant. And I never realized how immersion breaking texture pop-in really is until it was gone. I could not be happier with my decision to purchase this drive. If you're a PC gamer, then this SSD is a must buy, unless you have a place on your motherboard for two M.2 NVMe drives (mine has two, but disables the SATA drives if I use the secondary, and I'd like to keep the 2TB HDD installed just in case).

excellent. I have several solid state hard drives that are getting close to 10 years old. I've yet to have a single issue with any of them. I don't even know why they sell laptops etc with disk drives. The laptop is going to replaced way before the ssd wears out. The hardware and software that comes with this make swapping them out very easy.

This SSD is very fast. Installs and pulls up games very fast. Am very happy with this purchase.

This is the gold standard. My HDD in my ASUS all -in-one crashed. Opening the PC was hairy but the SSD installation was a breeze. Did a clean install of the OS, reloaded my apps, and transferred my files from a backup. I have substantial improvements in performance booting up, loading apps, and in using piggish apps like photoshop. Should have done it a long time ago.

It saw it but I couldn’t access it. Let’s just assume I messed up, my friend was able to help me get my computer to assign a drive to the SSD and worked. Outside from the initial trouble, it has worked well.

I bought this hard drive because my old one has died. Being an older computer, I thought it was time to buy a new one. Decided to try this ssd because if it hadn’t worked, I could use it as an external. It was really simple to install into the pc. The hardest part was making sure windows was set up on a portable thumb drive so that it would install.

My "ancient" 2011 iMac internal hard drive was showing signs of failing with extremely slow boot time, lagging mouse and the dreaded "chugging" sound, I decided to look into the SSD's. I was able to format the Samsung EVO into a Mac (easily down in Disk Utility), and swap out the old drive with the new one. The difference is incredible! My Mac used to take around 3 minutes to boot, another 90 seconds to 2 min to load up the desktop - utterly painful. Now with the SSD, I clocked the boot time at 25-28 seconds, the desktop, applications appear immediately. As for opening application like Photoshop or Final Cut Pro, these literally take 5-8 seconds to launch. *Use caution and have patience if you do this yourself. Back up your HD before you remove it, Time Capsule is a great option. I did look at multiple DIY YouTube videos before tacking the iMac hard drive swap since this was the first time I attempted this. A 3.5" HDD to 2.5" SDD bracket helped immensely and make this extremely easy. As long as you have the right tools, it is pretty simple. I do think the hardest part personally was removing the iMac display, disconnecting the delicate cable / ribbon connections.
