This is a best-selling drive and it shows based on the amount of independent testing. I considered a Sandisk 3D NAND but reading that this drive slightly out performed it and the fact that it was on sale pushed me over the edge.

Super Drive - Easy Installation !

I performed a couple of backups, via different methods, to be certain. Connecting this drive with the external cable, available separately, allowed for a simply flawless transfer of the OS and data. Drive is very responsive. I am impressed and pleased. Switching to this larger drive was a snap and provides tons of space.

I needed more space and similar speed. This drive was perfect for that. I had my old drive transferred on to this drive and it worked great.

A great time to buy a 860 evo

I bought one for myself as well and I could still notice the difference even thought it's a slight upgrade from another ssd. Only negative is that it does not come with a data cable . Samsung only has a migration tool for free that will clone your drive.

The loading times are blazing fast. The OS startup times and blazing fast. It’s truly amazing and truly reliable. I’ve installed an operating system in 20 mins start to finish when that used to take hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Samsung is the way to go for SSDs

Worth for the money

I don’t want to buy a new iMac since it’s still in good shape. After install no issues at all, it’s faster now. The only thing is that old iMac need temp sensor but don’t worry just download a free app to throttle down the fan speed and problem is solved !

This is all I have in my system. I have one 500GB SSD for programs, two 1T SSD for games, and one 1T SSD I swapped in my laptop. All Samsung evos. It complete changed my laptop with load times due to SSD being much faster than a magnetic hard drive. It writes, reads, and stores data exceptionally well.
