Mac-compatible - though probably not for the older NVidia HD controller chip in Macs from '06-'09 - check if your Mac has that chipset before buying this drive) - but that should not be taken as a complaint; with the correct Mac (most 2010 or newer), this is a great SSD and should now be available at lower prices now that Samsung has started making their 4TB SSDs.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you are thinking of upgrading to an SSD from an HDD but are on the fence trust me this upgrade will breathe new life into your rig. I put this into a new gaming rig I built and into my server rig that I've had for 6 years. Running it as a boot drive boots your PC and apps so fast it's amazing and my 6 year old rig is 10 times faster booting even from when it was first built!

Incredible bang for buck

I'm very impressed about the performance given that its a TLC drive (I previously only used MLC drives for this application due to concerns) Endurance is much improved and I haven't seen a slow down yet after writing a couple of TB of data over the last two months.

SSD revamped my laptop!

The performance difference of my laptop is night and day compared to when it was running with the HDD. I was able to spend the $140 on the SSD rather than $1,500 on a new laptop and still get the performance that I was wanting. 100% satisfied.

I put it into my early 2011 iMac 27” computer and this drive has greatly increased the speed of my computer. This drive has worked magically in regards to copying, saving, transferring, and moving documents this drive has not glitched since its purchase. I highly recommend samsung products.

I primarily use my laptop for music production and this drive sped everything up significantly. If you are searching for a serious speed improvement or are not sure about switching to SSD, don’t wait, just do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Choice For Upgrading!

Speeds are greatly improved. Cloning an OS from a HDD to an SSD can be a hassle but there are many FREE programs out there. Don't get suckered into buying paid software. Additionally, never defrag an SSD as it reduces the lifetime of it.
