I had a PNY SSD drive and it is super slow compared to this bad boy! This speed demon is the bomb! I has a utility to make it even faster. My laptop is a 2015 dell and it was slow with it's mechanical drive (time to kill all of those drives already). I will be sticking with Samsung SSD's from now on.

I’ve use this drive about a dozen times to upgrade clients from mechanical hard drives to the glorious world of SSDs. Never had a failure. If you’re replacing a 3.5 inch hard drive, don’t forget to buy a mounting bracket, because these are 2.5 inch form factor.

Needed a second drive for a computer I built but didn't want to spend major dollars. This gives me enough room for dat, the speed gives it to me quick and the brand name gives me the confidence to know I'm getting quality. Easy install and works as advertised.

Great SSD for the money especially when on sale. I love Samsung magician app to controller the options and check the status of your ssd. Great value for the money.

The SSD drive itself is great and came with no defects. Noticed notability faster boot and program run times. The software that comes with it is useless which is why I’m taking off one star. When the drive was connected through a USB/SATA adapter, the software would not recognize the SSD. Had to assign a drive letter via the OS and format the drive. Even then the software could see the SSD but not recognize it as a Samsung drive. From there I downloaded a third party software, cloned the original hard drive to the Samsung SSD and swapped the drives. I’ve worked on computers for over 25 years and never seen anything like this, both good and bad.

this a brand that you can trust it is a 1 TB SD. I remember when 1 TB was $1000 dollars. I think that this is a good buy. I build my own PC's it is reliable

BestBuy online had stock & reserved for pickup. Samsung SSD installed quicky. Used Acronis True Backup 2017 to copy HD files to SSD. Over 4 hours to copy to external HD & back to SSD with 400GB. Working great now. No issues or data loss. Great update for old Lenovo notebook

I installed this SSD as the boot drive in a Dell XPS 8700 desktop computer. Using the free downloadable Samsung Magician software, it was simple to clone everything on my existing hard disk and then make the SSD my boot drive. Boot time is much faster as well as loading software and large files.

Purchased this upon the advice of a Geek Squad member and I'm so thankful that he shared his knowledge with us. It's made such a difference in the performance of my laptop and I'm completely satisfied. In addition, I was satisfied with the price and value of my purchase.

Boots and loads big programs much faster than before. Check that you have the proper screwdrivers and other tools for getting into your laptop if you plan to do it yourself. I also used a special cable for the transfer. It came with cloning software to clone the old hard drive before installing.

Purchased this ssd to replace my hardrive on my PS4 Pro. Games load much faster but not blazing fast. Although that has to do with the PS4 limitations not the ssd. Overall I would definitely recommend to others. You can't go wrong with Samsung SSD'S.

I would consider the Samsung a fantastic SATA SSD that's fast + has a 5 year warranty...but I feel as though all of that doesn't justify the cost. Luckily I was able to snag this while it was on sale. Overall, I think it's great if you are able to find a great deal on it!

I really like this SSD. It is very fast compared to my old HD. My only complaint is the actual drive space is only 937GB NOT a 1000GB or 1TB. That is significantly less than Samsung represents that you're getting. Other than that it's all good.

My Laptop computer (5 years old?) has gotten very slow and no amount Of disk cleanup was helping. Geek Squad recommended solid state hard drive to replace original hard drive. Now the computer boots up, opens apps, and browses the internet faster than when it was new!

Purchased this ssd to upgrade the slow HD that comes with the ps4 pro. I'm a Destiny 2 player and this ssd literally cut loading times down by more than half. Best investment ever for those frustrated by long loading times while playing games on your ps4.

I have upgraded my office All-in-one PC's and so far, all of them are better than new with new HD like this which is faster, it even start Windows without showing the Windows logo. So far, this is the main PC velocity fact that has been a top of the line option.

The Samsung SSD was an easy and direct replacement for the old-school spinner that came with the computer. The difference in performance is simply amazing - startup time reduced exponentially - almost instant on now. Added significant new life to a good computer just because it is so fast.

This replaced my old 120gb SSD and I can't believe the performance increase in addition to the storage increase. Samsung is my preferred brand from now on when it comes to SSDs

Compared to my 5 year old 1 TB hard drive, this SSD boots fast, runs fast for operations. I think it runs cooler than the HD. Cloning software from Samsung works, even for very large amounts of programs and data. Everything in its place so far.

This SSD has brought me to a high realm of being. No longer am I able to wait for anything to load more than mere seconds. The land of mortals wastes your time every day, but in fact, this item will ensure saved time on all uses.
