im currently using an nvme drive as my boot but if i didn't have one i would use this one. im currently using it to keep backups between 2 ssds and the write speeds make it so painless. i really like the design too it works well with my black pc build

Has helped to speed up my Dell XPS desk-top cpu. Hope it can add some life to a good machine. Geek squad saved me the time installing it and just need to sort things out better for backing up my important data. Time will tell...Like it so far!

I recently upgraded the hard drive I had installed on my gaming rig to this Samsung SSD and it is a night and day difference! My PC now boots up so much faster and my games load super fast as well! I recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade the storage in their PC!

Fast and roomy enough at a price point that makes sense to me. Son had 512G SSD but was running out of room. Not any more, and it's faster than the older model. At a place where spinning disks are too slow, and I don't need the huge capacities.

This SSD card was definitely worth the money for faster loading time when building PC the first one I got was for the booting system and the 2nd one I got is for storing my PC games and can provide a faster loading time for gaming

The hard drive made a night – and – day difference in my old Mac mini. Where it took approximately three minutes for it to start up now it takes 20 to 25 seconds. Highly recommend it especially for anyone who can still upgrade to an SSD drive!

I am replacing the failing hard drive in my laptop with this Samsung -860 EVO 1TB SSD. The Samsung software to transfer files including the operating system and all the installed software from the existing laptop to this new SSD makes the process much easier to do.

I transferred my windows os to this hard drive and boots up almost instantly. Took 4 minutes off my startup time. Just beware if you are transferring your windows os to this drive you will have most likely have to call Microsoft for a new activation key.

This is an upgrade from the 500 GB model for me that I grabbed on sale. It works great if you have an older device that doesn't support NVMe. My only complaint is that manufacturers don't know what a gigabyte is, or that they do know but drink the marketing Kool-Aid.

Grabbed 2 of these to setup a raid configuration on my gaming rig. major, MAJOR improvement over the old mechanical drive the games were stored on. Also, the non-game apps I run off this drive have shown a significant increase in speed of operation and loading.

This is a beastly hard drive, and it's been awesome so far. Multiple SSDs on my older editing PC, unfortunately due to my mobo not having ports, I can't get any m2s. This was a massive upgrade as my main drive, and a huge benefit.

Plugged it in using my USB adapter to test it and the computer instantly recognized it (through disk management). I just installed it into my computer and it has worked great so far! I have bought a couple of these to upgrade from HDD to SSD.

My wife's Laptop had a 5800 rpm hard drive in it. It was very slow to load. Replacing this was easy and quick. Her laptop now loads like lightning fast. She's happy, I'm happy. It was a great buy. We also bought the sata cable adapter to make the operating system move smooth as silk.

This is a fast TLC ssd drive . Fast read and write speeds. This not an nvme drive. It will provide a noticeable speed boost over a standard spinning HD. Definitely improve performance on my laptop. Windows 10 boots faster too. A 5 year warranty too.

Simply the best reasonably priced drive in this configuration. WD blue was competitive until their June 2020 manufacturing dates. They are relabeled Sandisk and slower than the April 2020 WD Blue. and run 10% hotter. Avoid the mess... buy a Samsung !

Super easy upgrade for old hard drive to a solid state one. Free downloaded migration software from Samsung moves Windows 10 from old to new drive. Only takes 10 seconds now from powering PC on to whatever you want to do. I am going to upgrade another PC now that I know how easy it is.

Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State lives up to it's spec sheet. I choose this SSD as I have used this is several work related projects and found the Samsung Pro brand to have a long life and very reliable performance.

We have purchased several of these drives to replace our old slow hard drives in our work computers. We can start our computers up and be on the internet in around 10-15 seconds. The cloning software from Samsung also makes the transition as smooth as possible.

If you have never tried a SSD drive you will be in for a treat. I have one of the first Samsung SSD's... it was over $400 for 256gb, so this is considered cheap. You will love it... I recommend doing a clean install, allot of work, but getting everything fresh is the best advise I have.

I have a more than 10-year-old Sony VAIO laptop computer with a hard disc drive in it. I had purchased three different advertised gimmicks that were a waste of money. After doing research and comparing SSDs, I finally broke down and decided to replace my old Toshiba HDD with new Samsung Solid State Drive. My laptop has NEVER worked as fast as it does now. ALL functions are faster; nearly immediate. It took me less than 10 minutes to remove and replace the old HDD with this new SSD. While replacing any HDD with an SSD may improve your computer's performance, I know from personal experience that Samsung SSDs are made to withstand "a licking to keep on ticking." More than well worth the money that improved my laptop's performance and eliminated the use of a lot of vulgarity caused by frustration from having to wait and wait and wait on an HDD.
