My 2nd purchase this year. Installed this on my wife’s 2015 Mac book pro with i5 cpu 8gb ram. The boot process used to take > 30mins. Now, I know why she never shuts it down and just puts in sleep mode! After the install, it boots up in < 20 seconds! All apps open a lot faster. Data migration is super easy with carbon copy free software (Apple disk util works,too). Again- My advise- before goin for a laptop replacement, consider upgrading to a Samsung EVO SSD first.

I had the motherboard replaced on my HP laptop. When I picked it up I mentioned how much faster the Dell desktop that I had just bought as a backup was compared to the HP. The Geek Squad representative said that a solid state drive would improve the HP performance. I waited a few months making sure that the recent repairs held up and then bought the SSD. It still is amazing to me how fast the HP laptop is now. The old hard drive was cloned successfully so the switch was painless. Just hoping that it holds up over time.

Fast and plenty of space - I have room for all my pc games now. All my Samsung drives have been reliable.

Besides buying Crucial SSD in the past Samsung to me are the first and best SSD’s for me. Great reliability never had an issue with one yet have many on my system. 860 EVO 1TB is a great drive for the price ! Reach right speeds 560 MB per second read and 530 MB per second write which is 10 MB higher on each then reported from Samsung or by buying 870 EVO so you can’t go wrong with this older model. Good service by BestBuy also !!

Plenty of Storage and Compatible with my Computer. I have an Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop and it only came with a 256GB SSD. On the back of the computer there was an expansion slot for another SSD. After talking to some BestBuy employees and doing some research they recommended this SSD. Coincidentally, it was the one I had set my mind to after online research. Great product great price.

My old drive (Mechanical Drive) was struggling even on simple tasks but, once I Installed the Samsung SSD, everything started working extremely fast, including all my other programs. Note: Be careful when you install the Samsung Magician tool and turn on the RAPID option. If you have clone your SSD drive, this might give you some issues. However, you can always reinstall windows again, to fix any problem and to give your SSD a fresh start,

installed this into an 8 yr. old HP pavilion 'desktop'. Loads fast, it's like a new computer now, with enhanced reliability. Just follow the instructions on the software that you download from the manufacturer, use the USB adapter to SATA (you have to buy this separately but can be bought for as low as $14) to 'clone' your functioning HD, and in a couple hours or less, you've made a major upgrade...with NO need to reload programs and do hours and hours of set up like you would with a new machine.

All the speed and finally the storage I needed! Price cannot be beat.

This is the 4th EVO860 I have purchased from BestBuy. Expect an instant speed increase from your PC. Windows 7 boots in about 10 seconds after I replaced the system disk with this SSD. You can use the Samsung utilities to clone your drive but I simply used the RAID 1 mirroring built into Windows 7. You might have to use the BOOTREC Utility to rebuild the boot record after breaking the mirror. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this use the Samsung utilities or take your computer to the Geek Squad

Replaced a 3.5 mechanical dive. Faster, less heat and noise. Good product and the sales person who helped me find it was perfect.

I bought this to speed up my wife's laptop. I've installed othe branks on laptop and desktop machines. The main advantage of the Samsung is the software. This was the easiest and most trouble-free hard drive replacement I've ever done. Most software I've used limits you to specific connections for the old and new drive. Samsung's doesn't care as long as one drive is a Samsung. Thus far the new drive has been fast and reliable.

A Christmas present for my grandson's gaming computer. Very easy to install, took Windows 10 w/o any hick-ups. Performs well. Fast, quiet, and when on sale a very good price (a little pricey at regular price). I could take some points off for the curb side service - apparently it is much more confusing than it is advertised. But since it had nothing to do with the hard drive, I decided not to shave any points.

I went into Best Buy with the intention of purchasing a different drive. Luckily I asked the Best Buy associate which drive he recommended and his suggestion was the Samsung 860 EVO 1TB because of the faster specs and longer warranty. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The drive is fast and my computer is booting up faster than ever. Saving files to it is much faster as well. I am glad I ask the associate for their recommendation.

This is my 3rd Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD, and it's replacing an old hard drive that failed. Wow, what an insane different in speed! The old drive was only being used for data storage, but it always took a few seconds to spin up and slowed down my computer's performance. Now that all of my drives are SSDs, everything runs faster! I'll probably pick up another when they go on sale again, highly recommended.
