Normally Best Buy wants me to review something before you can fully evaluate it. However on this occasion, I was able to install this Samsung SSD and was able to notice a real difference in Boot time. Plus the Benchmark speeds are very dramatic. I never knew the difference a SSD could make over a HDD @ 7200 rpm. Believe me, Once you upgrade your computer with a SSD, you'll wonder how you ever worked without it! Truly a Best Investment in recent history.

Is awesome, I bought it for my PS4 and work gorgeous. The loading screen in some games like FF15, The Witcher 3, Skyrim etc... was shortened notoriously, is not instantaneous but does the job.

As a "PC enthusiast" relatively slow external storage solutions are less attractive. 50 games are installed on the drive and loading times have improved; the two goals I set out to accomplish. If you're also a gamer be aware that this will not be compatible with the PS5. NVMe is the future.

Not only does this SSD provide a decent amount of storage space, it also provides great speed and reliable performance. This has proven to be a great upgrade for an older laptop resulting in a breathe of life. It now even outperforms some newer laptops on the market!

This is my fourth Samsung SATA SSD drive and my second Samsung 860 EVO 2TB drive for my desktop setup. I currently have one 860 EVO 2TB drive in my desktop PC to use as my primary storage drive along with an old Samsung 840 Pro 256GB drive (purchased in 2014) which I use to store my desktop files/scratch drive. I also have a 2TB M.2 drive that came pre-installed in my PC, which is just a boot drive as I prefer to store my important data on my Samsung drives. I purchased this second 2TB drive to use as a backup drive for my photos (to replace a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB drive which is running out of space). This new 860 EVO 2TB drive is being used in an external enclosure to keep as an offline backup and works flawlessly. If you can afford it, Samsung drives are worth the premium over comparable drives as they offer better warranties and have better endurance (look at the TBW numbers in the warranty information). Yes, you may never write that much data during the warranty period but the fact that Samsung is willing to provide a warranty well in excess of other manufacturers should tell you something and I trust these drives to store my important photos and documents. I have found these drives to be very reliable and highly recommend them.

Great SSD drive! Lots if space and was easy to install. Samsung makes quality ssd drives. I have many in different computers snd have not had any failures.

I really love these SSDs. This is the 3rd time I’ve swapped out an old HDD to one of these SSDs. Upgraded a mid 2009 and a 2012 MacBook Pro with a 1Tb drive, and a 2Tb into a 2014 Mac Mini. In all 3 machines the difference was like night and day. Older slow machines now run even better then when they were first purchased. They even seem to run faster than my wife’s year old laptop. Highly recommend this fast and easy upgrade to help bring your old laggy computer new life.

Samsung EVO SSDs have a leader in this field for quite some time and the 860 EVO 2TB does not disappoint. I have other 2TB drives from different makers and the 860 EVO easily holds its own against any of them. This is the perfect drive for a laptop where you need performance and capacity. Since it is a 2TB drive either a GPT or MBR partition scheme will work (may be important for upgrading older machines). I highly recommend this drive.

Added to my iBuyPower 930 gaming PC for the extra space and it didn’t disappoint. Games and programs load in an instant and I never have to worry about space again. Should be noted I already have an SSD to boot with that came with the computer so I can’t speak to its ability to act as a boot drive, only storage and playing games, which it does very well.

I got this SSD to upgrade my laptop. I had a regular 750g on it and it was getting a bit slow. Took it to geek squad and they installed it for me. Now the laptop boots in lest than 8 seconds. Its super fast. The Samsung 860 EVO SSD is wonderful. I love it. Thinking about doing the same thing with my Desktop. I would definitely get another Samsung 860 EVO SSD for it.

I do some 360 video editing and found this to work great for this. The speed it works at has cut my rendering and stitching time down quite significantly. I wanted the 970 Pro version but it was still not in the reach of my budget. I found it very easy to install and setup in the PC.

I ordered this and installed it for a good friend. I was amazed to the ease of cloning everything from his old outdated drive to this Samsung ssd (I used Samsung's software to do this). It ran from the beginning with no problems. He was satisfied with it's speed and durability. Great drive!

Bought this a storage drive for my Grandson's Christmas build. Works flawlessly as all of my Samsung SSD drives do. I own several of the EVO series drives in m.2 and SATA format and have always been pleases with Samsung's performance. Caught it on sale too!

I upgraded my mid 2012 macbook pro ( non retina). Switched the original HDD to this. It’s definitely worth it rather than me buying a new MacBook Pro. I use alot of programs and its working great.

The drive performs fantastically. It truly is a successor to the 850 Evo. I purchased this drive to upgrade my laptop, and right off the bat I noticed a huge improvement. Boot to desktop was about 7 seconds. Would absolutely buy again.

what can I say? Blazing fast, reliable, had older models for years, just got this one recently and seems just as good. costs a little bit more than the competition but your data is worth the extra investment.

Is your game collection getting too big and you need more space? Mine was, so I bought a pair of these and put them in a RAID 0 array. Excellent performance and a lot of space!
