    Geek agent told my wife this would fit her HP Laptop which she bought June 2019. She ordered and we dropped he laptop off at Best Buy to be installed. They called the next day to tell us the drive could not be installed in our laptop because it did not have the correct connection. She had to settle for a 1TB solid state drive. So I really can't give a review on this drive. It might work great in another laptop. The saga continues but I will put that in a review on the 1 TB solid state drive.

    Normally a Samsung 860 EVO would get an 5 star rating, I own several 1TB EVO SSDs. For some reason this SSD, installed in an external drive case, was not recognized by my iMac. I was unable to initialize the drive at first but finally succeeded. Then after it was initialized I was unable to transfer any files to it. Repeated the entire process a couple of times but nothing made it work. Ended up returning the drive to Best Buy.

    Horrible Drive:(

    Horrible drive:( My plan was to use it as a secondary drive on my desktop. I tried every possible means to get my information copied to it (cloning, copying files directly, etc.). I formatted the drive several times (quick and full formats). I even did a clean install of Windows 10 on my main drive. Just when it seemed the copy was successful the entire system would freeze and would not reboot until this drive was disconnected. I tested it via Samsung's software and Windows disk checker and both said all was well. I finally bought a 2tb HDD, inserted it (once), copied my information (once), and it's worked perfectly since then. Maybe the drive was bad (even though the disks checks said otherwise). I not inclined to try another 2tb drive from Samsung even though I have two of their 1tb drives inserted into two different computers with no problems. The cost in time, energy, and disappointment was too great to possibly go through that again.

    2 times lost my information after copy

    I bought a SSD Samsung and I installed on my machine after 2 months and then copied all the information in my las hard drive, after that I checked and formated the last one, while I was working SSD program need an update after update posted all my information. It was a disaster.

    Mine is still running strong grabbed it a year ago after frys electronics went bank rupt , awesome drive been using it for storage and gaming
