I bought this drive on sale. Purpose was to create a clone of my 500 GB samsung EVO drive in case something went wrong. The software for this 1 TB drive includes the software to clone your original drive to this new drive. The cloning process was quick and painless. I have a 10+ yr old Dell with 16 GB memory running Windows 10. I will add, that, in order to clone my old drive to my new drive, I used a SATA to USB cable: SATA end plugged into my new drive and USB end plugged into my USB port on my computer. The cloning process will not work if you have the new drive connected to your computer via its SATA port: there are very specific instructions that say this.

Samsung Evo 870 pretty much sums it up, I have them in several units. Using this one for a Eufy HomeBase 3 and it rocks. I’m not using it for 24/7 recording so can’t speak on that.

This product was recommended by my cousin, who builds computers, to update my 10 year old laptop and I love how much memory it has.

I installed this into my desktop computer replacing the mechanized hardrive using Windows 10 Pro and it is so much more faster and with no moving parts is a more reliable and faster system operation and boot up.

I purchased this drive to replace the 128GB Samsung SSD that I have used for the past several years and was short on space. Samsung makes the top of the line solid state drives, so this was a no brainer purchase when Best Buy put them on sale. The 1TB SSD to me is the sweet spot in terms of performance, storage, and price. 0 complaints after two months of use.

External hard drives are awesome. I hear great and I’m in great news with this external hard drive especially if you are a gamer things Low super fast back-and-forth matching SSD with SSD meaning your PS five uses a SSD and you want to have a compatible SSD when moving games and other information back-and-forth. Is more superior than buying a HDD which may have more storage, but the speeds will sacrifice when moving from HDD to SSDSSD will move fast to H DD But it’s best to have an SSD with SSD

The price for SSDs keep going down and that is awesome. I have owned several Samsung SSDs and they have all been fast for my needs. I bought this SSD to put into a budget mini PC and this drive is fast for loading videos and music in my office. I no longer have to wait for files to load or windows to open. Everything opens instantly with this drive. This drive is running inside of an Intel n100 mini pc and if you haven't heard of mini PCs you definitely should learn about the value they present. They basically have laptop chips inside of a case the size of a portable music player. Mini PCs are the future of desktop computers and Best Buy actually sells some of them. Thank you as always Best Buy for offering same day pickup of awesome products like this.

Very simple to install, havent had any issues so far yet. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to upgrade their sata hard drove and switch it over to an ssd.

I upgraded a 1TB HDD to the Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SDD. The upgrade was incredibly easy and worked without any problems. I had to download Samsung software to copy the old drive to the new. Now my desktop runs like new. Programs open almost instantly. I have another 2TB HDD in the desktop that I am going to upgrade too. I am very excited about this upgrade!

we bought this for our son who is a gamer and computer animator. he was running out of room due to his animations, so, we bought him this just for his animations and he's so happy it cleared up so much room for his games.

Geek Squad checked my computer and determined my hard drive was weak and recommended this as a replacement. After a detailed it understandable explanation, I authorized the repair. Now, my computer operates better than when it was brand new!

I bought one of these for my 7-year-old laptop pc to replace its original HDD. Cloning, installation and startup went without a hitch and the speed increase was remarkable. I thought I take a chance on a second one and was pleasantly surprised. I have an old desktop pc running Vista that I use only occasionally. It had a 15-year-old HDD, no ability to upgrade the OS and no good way to fully back it up. I didn't expect the Samsung migration software to run, since it listed Win 7 as a minimum requirement, but it installed and ran just fine and this swap-out also went flawlessly. I have one more machine to upgrade and will be back for another Samsung 870 EVO Internal SSD soon.
