A fast and very reliable drive. Lots of helps, including S.M.A.R.T. and T.R.I.M. So much faster than the mechanical drive my laptop had, not only in data transfer, but boot time as well.

The 870's are some great drives, basically the same speed as the 850,s, at least on my computer. Removed a pair of WD 640 platters and replaced an old slower Kingston drive for Windows and and a backup drive. I now have all five of my drives solid state and it makes a big difference in speed and eliminates the heat from the old spinners. The Samsung copy software is the only drawback, it will only copy the OS drive. If you want to replace a non OS drive you will have to provide your own software or add and transfer all the data in windows, not the best option if all your sata ports are full.

Fast, reliable, and decently priced. Samsung's SSD and migration software make trading out old hard drives and upgrading a breeze. I replaced a hard drive from 2013 with this and the results are amazing.

This SSD drive was money well spend, my lap top is about 7 years old and its been dragging for awhile know all my software took for ever to run, and lets not talk about the operating system, that was the worse, but since I took my brother advice and decide to give my old laptop another chance, well let me tell you my laptop been reborn, it take only a few seconds for the OS to load and my program are loading just as fast, If you have the same problem with a slow laptop or desktop, I recommend getting the Samsung 870 EVO SSD, by the way my brother had install one on his desktop, and by the way transferring the operating system to the new drive was a breeze with Samsung Magician wish you download from their website and it come self explain.

The computer was running slow so I purchased Samsung SSD 870 Evo. The problem appears to have been solved. Thanks to the Geek Squad in explaining in layman's terms.
