It will also work to upgrade ps4 models as well if you're wondering.

But, it's much faster than the disc drive previously installed. It accesses files quickly and it shuts down very fast. I may never go back to the "spinners" (disc drive), again.

Only negative was the price, which was $30 more than many online sellers, but this was needed immediately and was in stock locally.
