My first external hard drive

It is simple and effective. I had over 12,000 photos to transfer, so it took some time to upload everything to the drive. My only concern during the transfer was how warm it was getting. However, I am glad to report that it is still working smoothly and handling everything as if I just bought it.

Best in class SATA SSD

Most people will want M2 drives as they are now priced very similarly, but if you don't have the slot for those, these will still be very good.

Excellent SSD with great cloning software!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Samsung drive in order to clone the 256 GB SSD that my system originally came with... purchase included the ability to download software to clone the drive... it turned out my original drive was an M.2 form factor so I ended up buying a 1 TB Samsung M.2 drive and used this as a temporary to clone the original M.2 drive and then as the source to clone onto the new M.2 drive... I then cloned a 500 GB SATA drive in a 12 year old Sony laptop onto this SSD using a Sabrent external and the Sony laptop is usable once again.

Exceptionally fast Samsung internal SSD

My ASUS vivobook laptop with the original 1TB HDD acted like it was on dial-up and would just load for 5 to 10 minutes before loading the page. Since this SSD has been installed on my laptop, I'm able to use my laptop for school and zoom classes. The speed is exception that this SSD puts out. I highly recommend anyone wanting a faster laptop to switch to this one and remove the original HDD.

The Geeks Steered Me Right

After a detailed it understandable explanation, I authorized the repair. Now, my computer operates better than when it was brand new!
