It's so much heavier than the WD SSD it is replacing, and I think it is a good thing.

New SSD breathed new life into my laptop

To say the change was night and day would be an understatement as boot times to login went from a minute and a half to under 10 seconds. OK, this SSD is not as fast as the Samsung 980 pro in my desktop, but will you notice the difference?

The Samsung comes with Data migration that makes the transfer seamless, unless your running an application that it can't shut down or continues to restart that prevents the operation from completing. Samsung also includes "Samsung Magician" for optimizing your drive installation.

My PC even runs a little faster now.

These worked great -- about the cost of spinning disks but much faster. I used the free Samsung Magician software to copy the old drives to these.
