OMG! The boot time for my computer is lightning fast compared to the HDD this replaced. Installation was super easy after I finally found the right sized screw. Samsung's software makes cloning your HDD very easy. Really happy with this purchase!

Purchased at $90. I think it can go down as a low as $80. Consider a cheaper Sata 3 ssd if you're just gaming. Bought this because it was the best option in stock at the time and wanted to build a new PC within a day. No problems so far.

purchased the Samsung 970 EVO Plus to expend the harddrive on my PC. Opened up my PC case, inserted the Samsung EVO Plus into my M.2 slot and screwed it down. Booted up windows and created the partition and good to go

Nothing much to it, all benchmark reviews can be found online and as usual price / performance Samsung is still leading the pack. Just make sure your device actually supports the products max speeds as most of them them don't (many laptops); having the M.2 slot isn't enough and being NVMe also isn't, updating drivers can help as well. Most cases I'm guessing it's because the bandwidth is shared, either ways most wouldn't feel it in daily use and if you could go cheaper with a more traditional SATA based ssd, you might want to consider the savings albeit it's not much of a difference these day. The M.2 however makes the laptop lighter. You get some with a heat-sink option as I understand that they start throttling with continuous usage but I've done some light gaming and normal usage haven't felt a thing, I did use my cheapish wrap around style heatsink that came with my laptop though; but if I did not have that, I wouldn't have bothered. Also a heads up, you don't get a screw to secure the drive. I had this on a dell vostro 5471 which did not get the speeds it should have, but my Hp envy x360 (3700 ryzen based) was able to get much more out of it. Like all m.2's, easy to install.

I always recommend these SSDs to people looking to upgrade, they’re easy to install and have never failed on me. The speed is fantastic and lives up to the claims, and i’ve been using mine dutifully for over twoish years now. Only drawback is that for most motherboards, it will not be functional without a bios update, this was the case all 4 times i helped someone install one. Overall though, excellent quality.

I spend tons of time online looking for the perfect deal when it comes to tech. I have found this to be IMO the best value when factoring in price/performance. If you can't afford the over-priced top of the line tech, but also don't want to buy a cheap knock off that won't last as long or perform as well, then this is the drive that you are looking for.
The 500 GB is plenty of room to store your OS on, a couple of your favorite games, software for making music, movies, art, photos, etc. (you can store movies, music and other media on a less expensive or pre-existing HDD as the speed of this drive for those types of files isn't really necessary)
I bought one of these for myself last year and just bought another one for my son to upgrade his computer this Christmas. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is also simple to install as it is easily accessible on the motherboard and basically only requires unscrewing one screw, sliding it into place, and then tightening the screw back in.
You're going to have to migrate your OS from whatever drive it is currently on to this drive, but there are YouTube videos that will walk you through it and while I don't remember which one I used at this point there is also free software out there that will be helpful to the migration process.
