This is by far my favorite SSD i have purchased, be it for me or for someone else. Its incredibly fast, easy to install & affordable.

Easy installation and a quick way to get fast and reliable storage

Faster than any other pcie gen 4 nvme ssd available at close to the same price at the time I bought it, 01/21. Please remember that most games are still made for slow hdd drives so you may only save 15s off load times. However, games are now being designed for these speeds which means they won't need redundant files. Worlds will load faster, so you can finally run around the world as the flash without load screens, when the game matches the hardware. Please note, this does not come with a heat sink. However, reviews say these type of drives generally don't need one.

This is an extremely fast drive. The only issue I can see is it runs a bit high temperature wise. I suggest always installed the correct software, in this case samsung magician. Out of all my drives its the only one that runs at 54 degress celcius. regardless of its location on the motherboard. Don't let the temp scare you, its a gread drive. No issue other that the temp scare. The customer service was great and since the Trussville store has had April as the Manager it seems like the employees have received a higher level of technical knowledge. Great Job April.

Use this my OS drive. Loading windows was fast and ease. I installed windows in a matter of minutes compared to a spinning disk that would take hours. I have two one for the os and the other for games and it makes the world of difference

Another solid and great product from Samsung. You can never go wrong buying their storage drives. Performance matches what they claim. Another great thing about this product is you can use it in a laptop or desktop and it will not cause you any problems. I use this type of drive for Windows and Linux. I say all of this from the perspective of an IT person. I have tried many drives. I always come back to Samsung. (I also like Crucial but WD is spotty. Some WD products are okay and some are not good.)

Great value and a worthwhile upgrade from my crucial mx500 sata ssd. Performance has been great, and it has had no issues with my medium workload. It being on sale was also a big selling point for my purchase.

Used this ssd for a year until the 990 pro came out. It worked great and had exceptionally fast speeds even on a little pavilion laptop when gaming. I was very happy with this ssd's performance, however it did run a little hotter than the 990 pro does.

Lightning fast, great fit right into Nvme slot. I hope it as reliable as advertised! Expensive as it can be, but sometimes goes on sale

Really fast drive! Highly recommend using any Samsung M.2 but this one boots quick and installed windows in no time at all.

If NVME’s PCIE Gen 3 are fast as is… The speed on the Gen 4’s are just faster. You probably won’t realistically notice the difference like you do from HDD to SSD but it is just that small top off on performance. I got this for gaming and using with Ray Tracing games, from the research i have done that is where you will notice a performance difference. I am sure this helps with Video Editors as well. Think High Intensity performance boosts IF you are getting just for an OS then you are probably overdoing it.

I have both the 990Pro and 980Pro. The 990Pro walks all over this, however, with the sale price that I bought the 980Pro I just could not pass up. Performs great and stays cool. If you don't do large data transfers on a daily basis, save yourself money and get this 980Pro. If you do a lot of data transfers then it may be worth getting the 990Pro (assuming you have Gen 4 PCIe)

Great deal for a 1 TB SSD. Easy to install and setup. Improved my PC's loading speed especially when gaming.

We buy ssd's for speed and reliability. That is exactly what Samsung delivers with this NVMe. There isn't any advanced setup required, just plug and play with incredible results.

This was a massive upgrade for my PC, games felt so much smoother and faster when adding it to my pc. Super easily to install too if you know what you're doing! Not to also mention the person in the store who suggested I pick this one up instead of a cheaper option was super kind and helped me out. Thank you!

It's pricey, but runs cool. For day to day use, there isn't a huge difference over a 970 evo +, but the system feels smoother. Some of my work moves a lot faster thanks to this drive. Less breaks, but I am my own boss, so it means working a little less, or picking up more work. Exceeds stated speeds in both writes and reads. Picked up a second in case the PS5 uses one. There will be a mad rush on these Gen 4 drives once that update hits. If not, bam, right into the PC.

This SSD is so freaking amazing one reason 1TB aswell as its a GEN 4 and in all very reliable in extremely new.

I have bought several different brands of M.2 SSD over the years, some have worked decent, other have failed miserably. But of all these different brands, Samsung has always been the fastest and most stable performing, Its all i buy now.

Not much to say about this, speed is very fast, they never get hot and they are easy to install.
