It Really Is a Monster of a Drive..But dont buy this just for game drive..(u r a a dummy if ya do) a good gen 3 drive would be best for games ! Unless You Just Want The Very Best Drive .This Is For my 10Gb network & Works Very Nicely for Large File Transfers ext ext..I Love This 980 Pro 1Tb But for The Price It Dam Well Better be The Best/Fastest Money Can Buy

I don't know about you guys, but when I build a PC the first the I do is look up the parts I am going to purchase and the reviews that go along with those parts. The 980 Pro had a fairly substantial group of users who were experiencing slow read and write speeds. But Bestbuy had an amazing special on it back when it first came out so I purchased one. To my surprise I had no issues and was hitting the benchmarks set by Samsung themselves. But I did set up an entirely new computer with zero compatibility issues between the SSD and the Motherboard. I have had it for around a year now if I am not mistaken.... And it still runs like new with no issues or problems to be had. That is also after at least 6 to 8 hard formats reducing it to nada each time. Only issue I had was with the heat pads being uneven due to the the main controller being lower than the rest on the SSD itself.

Bought for my gaming pc while in need of more storage and decent R/W speeds. Samsung SSD's are definitely the way to go!

Super Fast. Windows 10 Pro - 64bit launches in about 5 seconds. IO operations are instantaneous. Performs absolutely as advertised. The only con that I can remotely grasp at. It runs very hot, and is part of an overall heat problem from a brand new rig that I put together. When playing video games the computer acts as a heater pushing hot air out the back.

The product speaks for itself. I have two of these SSDs in my computer and they are very much worth it.

Nice step to the right and price but with cost cutting. This drive is noticeable upgrade over my 970 EVO but the 970 Pro is still probably the choice for power user. The Flash is 3 bit TLC like on the 970 EVO but the 970 PRO Has 2 bit MLC which offer better speed and reliability. The drive using cash to achieve the listed speed but when I was moving large files the speed decreased once the cash was full. During my drive mirror my average speed was 650 MB/s (total data size 0.7 GB) using the Samsung migrate tool. There is noticeable decrease in load time of windows 10 and in raw image editing. I have no other PCI 4.0 drives to compare but on paper it is the fasted drive on market. The benchmark verified the speeds. It is one of the highest priced drive on the market but the available Samsung software and the speed justifies the price. One negative for non power users, is that cashing has to be manually turned on in windows.

Purchased this for my PS5 expansion slot. Works as expected, am able to play games stored on it without any noticeable change in performance. I wish it had a heat sync, had to purchase that separately from Amazon but that was only a few bucks. Beyond that I can’t speak for its performance in other applications like a computer, but I suspect it would perform well there too.

I upgraded my old 970 to this 980 Pro. Although the 970 worked well, the 980 Pro is noticeably faster in both self-run benchmarks and real-world performance. While user experiences may vary, upgrading to the 980 Pro also eliminated micro-stutters on my system under heavy loads including high-performance gaming.

I love Samsung drives and never had one fail on me before and why I will away buy them over the other brands. Got a new motherboard that supported a 4th Gen and upgraded for faster speed.

I was excited when Samsung finally released their new gen 4 nvme. I noticed some big improvements over gen 3 nvme when transferring files. I mainly bought it for the reliability and always being the best in hard drive area. Mostly all the 1TB gen 4 nvme cost around the same. I have this drive installed on my MSI x570 motherboard with the included heatsink that comes with the motherboard

Another beauty of internal SSD’s. This ssd helped me build my first PC and was the backbone to it. It’s quick, and never ruined my PC.

Had this for a while now to do a proper review. Speeds on this ssd are really well especially for throwing your games onto it to run off the ssd. Works well. Glad i purchased this when it was on sale.

I bought this SSD with expanding the storage of my PS5 in mind. After doing my research and also finding out this SSD was on sale at the time of my purchase, pulling the trigger on it was a no-brainer. The installation process of adding this SSD into my PS5 was a breeze. The SSD performs has expected....BLAZING FAST (of course).

I've added this SSD to a Mac Mini accessory dock and now I've quadrupled my storage. It is pllug and play and has fast read and write speed for data transfers.

On the advise of my I. T. this product gives me great fast off the desk digital storage without any moving parts like other storage applications do.

Easy install and runs great. It has been at least several months and zero issues. I did have to get a screw off of Amazon to install it. My mothernoard did not have one in the box. I have it about half full and it is still running great.

Bought one of these for my PS5 and another for my PC! Both work flawlessly and are very quick. I load everything on my PS5 straight to this drive in hopes of saving the soldered drive for as long as possible on my PS5.

Instant load times for games, programs and booting into Windows. I even installed one in my PS5 for extra storage and everything loads faster on the new drive. Really simple installation in my PC and PS5.
