This SSD is faster than that older one. The read and write speeds are absolutely fantastic. This makes productivity better than ever because there won't long loading times. Gaming with this is even better than my old SSD. Load times are quicker.

I used the Samsung data migration software, rebooted with the original boot drive disconnected and away we go. Absolutely no issues of any kind. Two other brands would do fine with a total cold rebuild from scratch but would not do a successful clone with 3 different software authorized suites. Tou have options if you do a clean new build but if you are cloning off of another non M.2 drive it will be nest to use the Samsung stick. BTW/software was only listed for the 970 but the 970 software worked fine.

I will be buying 4 more of the 1 tb and putting it in my new system with a Asus hyper card. 256gb sec. Great for video Editing, and Astro Photography. Thanks Best buy!
