Operating system loads faster, gaming is smoother, and I have the extra storage I needed.

Samsung is a great and reliable product. I still prefer Crucial, they were first and they are a little cheaper. Nonetheless, I use these products too. They don't need to be the fastest generation of the product.

I have 2-SSDs and this one is dedicated to games. I haven’t had any issue with it for the last year, very robust performance. I’ve only used Samsung and WD SSDs, and I don’t notice a difference between performance on either. Both brands work in harmony, unlike RAM where you want the specs to be identical. One of my older builds has a 500GB Samsung SSD. It has to be 7 or 8 years old now and still works like new. It was such a good experience that I’m not interested in buying cheaper brands, I think you get what you pay for.

As somebody who has been an IT Technician and former Geeksquad Agent, I always recommend Samsung drives due to their reliability and affordability. The software that comes with samsung drives is also really nice and easy to use. It allows people with practically no IT experience to clone drives and perform data merges.

Best value for speed now. run warm so need heat sink but super reliable when properly cooled

This PCIe 4.0 drive is amazingly fast. I can't believe how must faster this new computer boots up - with Ryzen 9 5900x and X570 motherboard and this drive containing my operating system. Definitely worth the cost.

Samsung M2 980 pro are built to last, have quite a few of them for years now, they are fast and reliable.

I am ready to use this in my PS5. I got it while on sale otherwise very expensive tech. Great for expansion storage for the PS5 . There is literally no drop off from the factory internal ssd.
