when this SSD is used with PCIe 3.0

I think the PCIe 3.0 maximum speed is around 3200 MB/s (theoretical limit 3940MB/s). However, Samsung 980 Pro, when running ac PCIe 3.0, still has a much better performance in terms of Seq and 4K (See the pictures for details). I personally think it is still worth buying this product for the system disk even if the interface is PCIe 3.0.

Get what you pay for

Although you will only notice the difference in heavy work station applications. Which I do use. Although in one application my 970 pro edges it out. So that program I run on my 970. It only beats it by a couple of seconds but those seconds add up to minutes by the end of the day, and an hour or so by the end of the week. Doesn't make a difference in gaming. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. No issues or failures.

He picked this item because it has excellent read and writing speeds. With my BB total membership, I had it installed for free. We went to get something to eat until it was ready for pickup.

Massive increase from PCIe Gen 3

I never thought they could possibly get faster, but they really did. If you've been waiting to upgrade (like many probably reading this), make sure you have a mobo that can support PCIe Gen 4 if you buy this. If you don't have a mobo that can support it... just buy it. Life is too short.

Ultimate Library Storage

This drive easily keeps up with my gigabit internet connection when installing/updating games, reaching speeds closer to advertised than I initially expected! In game loading times are extremely quick too. Playing the same game on a PS4 Pro with the OEM hard drive, this NVMe drive is easily 3-4x faster.
