Right now its being used as a drive to save all my games and it is really good and reliable.

I use CrystalDiskInfo with Auto refresh disabled. Tested speed using CrystalDiskMark.

The speed difference between gen 3 and 4 is quite amazing. I would highly recommend getting this if you can find it on sale. It is quite expensive but i was able to get it for around 90$

Samsung's software also recognizes WD drives but it did not recognize the Adata ssd I have. Great product, especially if you can catch it on sale!

Samsung drives are some of the best, and this ssd is no exception. Probably overkill in most scenarios, but if you have the money you wont regret it.

Better than the WD SN850 for long reading/writing.

Just make sure your m.2 slot is PCIE 4.0 enabled to get the most benefit. The WD SN850 is faster for short bursts of write/reading but the 980 PRO is better for sustained reading/writing because it has MUCH better thermal properties. It won't thermal throttle.
