Installed as a win 10 boot drive on a high-end system with PCIe Gen 4 bus. As expected, this drive is very fast with corresponding low boot times.

Its an m.2 nvme ssd and made by samsung, so its pretty much the standard these days if im not mistaken. Would recommend over the firecuda or wd any day.

If you dont mind paying the price, i would definitely recommend. There are cheaper options out there but the read speeds for this one at 1tb is not a bad deal. I would recommend

You dont need the 990 unless it gets an upgrade to pci express 5.0 just get this product oerfect for loading gta 5 and i was transfering at 3gbps between ssds mvne 980

Great Ssd for gaming and downloads It loads games very fast and my downloads have never been faster this is virtually a must have in gamers setups

Speed is amazing and the quality is perfect. I did some benchmarks on this on a PCIE 3 board and even that was noticeably faster than my ssd that came with my laptop. If you are on the edge about upgrading its definitely worth it.

If your looking for raw speed, look no further. The samsung 980 pro is thee fastest ssd on the market right now. For acouple extra bucks you can get the piece of mind with Samsung storage with a great warrenty.

Super fast ssd, a bit daster than one of the more economical options i had, and still comparable to more expensive options.

This is ideal for a custom build; it's the sort of memory that can withstand all the I/O cycles required to be a main storage and OS workhorse.

Passed chkdsk, was easy to register for warranty, no issue with speeds. Thus far, as with my previously purchased Samsung ssd's, no complaints!

Works with PS5 but only registered 5500 MBs read speed during setup. I replaced the drive with a WD 850 and the WD registered 6500 MBs. Honestly I didn’t see any performance issues with the 980. The drive worked flawlessly with all my PS5 games even out performing the system SSD. However, the 5500 MBs rating concerned me so I made the switch. So if you have the extra money and it’s available buy the WD 850. If not, the Samsung 980 pro is a great drive and I would recommend it!

Amazing product. Could get hot when using in a laptop but otherwise great product

Got this for our personal computer and are super impressed by the speed it provides. Haven’t had it long enough though. By far it definitely is faster than the Intel 660p nvme m.2.
