Theres little to no difference between manufactured m.2's on the consumer end. Only got this because it was on a sale comparable to a crucial p3. Check out the crucial p3 btw, honestly a great deal when its on sale. Like $65-80 for 1tb.

The reps took the old hard drive and placed in a sleeve so I could make sure I did not lose any data. And I can use as external.... Awesome

Used an external USB enclosure to connect to pc & Samsung magician software to copy current ssd to new one. Then popped old one out & put new one in. All done! Love samsung ssd.

Bought this to use as external SSD in a separate enclosure I purchased. Samsung is always my "GO TO". Best Buy had this in stock and was able to pick it up the next day!

I purchased this "SSD" to replace a non-Samsung SSD that failed less than two years old. I use it as a D: drive in my Windows workstation.
