Bought for my teenagers computer, so can’t say for sure how it’s working out. Physical Installation was, of course, simple. It didn’t initially show up in windows on its own, but a quick scan and it populated immediately. Good solid drive for an acceptable price (it was on sale).

Very easy to install--this SSD was accurately described and fit perfectly. It is very fast, making good use of my MAC's Thunderbolt connection.

I chose the Samsung 990 EVO for my new gaming PC, and installation was quick and flawless. The drive was instantly recognized and required no extra drivers. I’ve been using it for over a year across two PCs and a PS5, and it’s been rock solid — fast, cool, and completely reliable. Even without a heatsink, there have been zero heat issues. I might choose the heatsink version next time for extra peace of mind, but this one performs perfectly. Excellent speed, great value, and 2TB of dependable storage make it ideal for gamers and everyday users alike. Highly recommended!

Great speeds, heat doesn't seem to be a major issue. Really good value for a 2TB NVMe drive.

Drive works great in my gaming rig. Fast load times. I dont see any performance issues going with this over the pro model.

It's a Samsung SSD. As long as you have Samsung Magician installed, you're good. Compared of a Samsung 980 Pro or 990 Pro, this won't be quite as fast, but it will run a lot cooler which means you won't necessarily need a heat sink like you do with those faster drives. It doesn't hurt to have one though. Performance is solid. In a Gigabyte X870 Eagle, it's running 6800MBps reads and 4700MBps writes in a PCI-e 4.0 NVMe slot. This should be fast enough for the PS5 people who need a NVMe drive. Just make sure your firmware is up to date and you're good.

Samsung makes some of the best SSD in the market today, this one is the best option without any SSD RAM, seeing transfers up to 3Gb per second between drives. Best buy experience was super fast, all good

Took about 30 mins to install, and a simple youtube video. This is my first PC that I have owned so I am new to the whole install side. It is a great quality product like I said and I got it for a really good deal. Worth the money.

Everything seems to work well. Very fast and so far perfectly reliable. Hopefully it will last a long time.

When it come to straight to it. What can you go wrong when choosing this sucker of a ssd! Fast, efficient and easy to install. Speeds compete with similar prices but it is well put together! EVO!

Got this bad boy for my M4 Mac Mini and it is great, beyond great. Got me a TB4 enclosure to use it in and the read and write speeds are better than the base Mini. Samsung again has made a great drive. Now if you are going to be transferring more than 10% of the drive’s capacity in files you will see a noticeable drop in speed and if that is something important for you then go with WD

I needed to increase my desktop PC's storage. This SSD was on sale and did the trick. The Samsung software allowed me to clone my existing drive to this new one. The read/write speed is great as well.
