I had the R550 a couple years back and it sounded awesome... this one kinda lacked the sound and bass the r550 had. Spend the extra money if sound quality matters. Im partially def due to being in military around hazardous sounds and it does help more then the tv speakers would by a long shot.

Is it worth anywhere near the standard price? No way. I've had a few Samsung sound bar kits and this one definitely needs more cranking up than others. As long as your connectivity doesn't lose connection, you'll likely be satisfied at a discounted price. Otherwise, the C, S, or Q series are the route to take during a promotion
