Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the large capacity, quiet operation, and excellent cleaning performance of the Activewash 5.4 Cu. Ft. washer. Many appreciate its ease of use and the spacious tub size. However, some users mention the washer's depth as a potential drawback, and a few have experienced issues with balance and the lid's tendency to close unexpectedly. There are also some concerns about the washer's long-term reliability.

Don't hesitate , buy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's start off by mentioning that whenever I make a purchase, I read EVERYONES review. With that being said, there will always be positive and negative reviews on products. Here is my honest review. I have always gone to a laundry mat to wash . So When me and my husband bought the washer with the matching dryer over a month ago I was super excited. I work in an office and usually my clothes isn't really that dirty, but I love makeup, so i have what i call a "makeup towel" where i usually wipe excess (foundation)makeup on , so it gets dirty real quick. My husband on the other hand works in a gasket company working with metal, oil, ect. So his work clothes is usually extremely dirty. **Review** *The machine exterior is sleek and beautiful. *Both washer and dryer have a nice jingle when the load is done. *They are BOTH very quiet, compared to the machines I have been around in. I read some ppl complain about the noise, but to be honest it's a machine, it's never gonna be extremely quiet. But it's not noisy by all means. I'd give it a 2 out of 10 , ten being extremely noisy. *The washer is HUGE, very deep as well. I am 5'8 my husband is 5'11 and we still have to get on our tip toes to reach the bottom . We don't mind tho because we know that just means more clothes can fit. * *You have to be very careful with the soap tray. If you forget to close it up and you bring down the lid , you have a big chance of breaking it. * the lid is a soft close with I LOVE! * The built in sink comes in handy! For small stains to scrub out. *Timing: depends on what cycle , I do think some are a bit too long, but the quick cycle is fast but just as efficient. Like I said I have always washed at the laundry mat so those are usually self time at a maximum of 45 mins. These can take up to an 1:20mins depending on your settings. *Read the manual, become familiar with the product. *My electric bill and water bill didn't even make a dent . It probably went up like 7 bucks on each bills. The machines automatically have settings for you depending on what cycle you choose. Some you can amend some you can't. I do NOT like washing on the "normal " cycle. The reason is because I feel like it doesn't wash well due to the "eco warm". When I first got the washer I washed my husband work jeans that are heavily soiled with oil and dirty. And the "Normal" cycle did not clean them well. So, I gave it another shot with my "makeup towel" and like the work pants , it didn't take off any of the stains or dirt. I LOVE the "heavy duty" cycle! This cycle doesn't use much water either but , this cycle works! My husband's pants were completely clean. Not one stain!!! My makeup towel didn't have any signs of foundation or eyeshadow. The built in sink actually helps clean small stains, I have tried it about 5x on my makeup towel. I think it comes in handy for ladies who have period accidents. This might be TMI but it's an honest review for the consumers, As a women we have all had to throw away at some point a good pair of panties due to our periods. The built in sink is perfect to quickly help lift off any stains and then dump it into a quick wash ! Bedding : I have a cat and dog and with the washer it cleans my beddings where there are no signs of pet hair. Both machines efficiency clean and dry big bulks. But it doesn't mean you should over stuff it. The Dryer: I love it. I typically do normal or bedding but it works perfectly. If the dryer senses any time of moisture it will add minutes, which I personally like. Beats having wet clothes when u think they are dry. Right? I would recommend buying this. I personally have used these machines for about a month and a half, and I have no complaints. P.s. I took too long to add pictures, but everyone who has seen it says they are real nice , esspecially the color!

Wow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am upgrading my 8 year old front load samsung washer with this beauty. Let me start by saying I was VERY skeptical about buying another Samsung washer and dryer due to the horrible customer service experience I had with the last machine. The last machine was VERY loud. We had it stacked and used it side by side and the noise was terrible when this thing went into spin mode, and didn't clean the clothes really well. THIS machine is so quiet. I washed a large load of bath towels and heard nothing during the spin cycle. There is so much space in the washer. I used the wrinkle release mode on the dryer and took out all of the wrinkles in my kids' school clothes. Good by Sunday ironing. So far, I am very happy with this set. The only negative thing I will say is that it is not really fingerprint resistant. But that's not a big deal.

Too many problems with spinning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have this washer for less than a year and got it serviced twice already, because it has trouble spinning properly if loaded with bedding or other bulky stuff. I have seen it repeating a spin cycle with adding new water over and over again, until it finally stops with an error message. The manual recommends interrupting the cycle and re-arranging the contents for better balance, but who wants to stand by the washer to check on it all the time? There is a way to re-calibrate the sensors, but it worked only for a short time. Another issue is the lid - sometimes it won't stay open and fall on your head when you load or unload. I would not buy this one again.

Overpriced for what I got
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it is a nice washer but it is really loud. I have a laundry closet and it is too loud to run if people are sleeping or hanging out in the living room. I think this is the noisiest machine I have ever seen. I don’t know why anyone would ever want to use the app but if it is important to you then don’t buy Samsung. The app sucks and really doesn’t work. It crashes all the time and you have to do that whole I’m not a robot captcha thing every time you open the app. On the positive side it is a huge drum that holds massive amounts of laundry. The controls offer so many combinations to wash your stuff the way you want. And best part is the prewash thing in the top.

Tears Clothes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were excited about the new washer and enjoyed it for the most part at first. The only issue we had in the beginning was that our towels were taking longer to dry. We assumed that we just needed to find the optimum wash cycle. After about 6 weeks i noticed that a couple of my shirts started getting tiny holes in the seams. i just assumed it was normal wear and tear of the shirts. Then a few more weeks pass and more shirts are getting more holes and we notice our towels and bed sheets are starting to fray. My wife has said it is taking 3 hours for a normal load of towels to dry. I have verified that during a towel drying cycle the lint filter has to be cleaned multiple times because it is getting saturated with lint. This is due to the washer being too rough on the towels. I cleaned out the entire dryer duct system just to make sure it wasn't a dryer issue. Our previous washer which was a front load did not do this. After 3 months of trying various washing and spin cycles we are still having these issues and are stuck with ruined clothes, towels and bed sheets along with a $800 washer bill. We have talked to 3 different people at Best Buy and they could not care less. Their response was "we should have notified them sooner of any problems." However, these issues are not immediately obvious and occur over time. Our next attempt for a remedy is to contact Samsung. It is possible we got a lemon.

Active wash lid frustration.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lid is always falling closed. The lid when open is so close to the balance point the least little thing it will close. Some times when opened quickly it will bounce closed. There you are with double hand of clothes and have to put pile of clothes down and start over. Falling on your head when loading and unloading the clothes. Samsung's fix is to hold the lid open with one hand. This means open lid slowly confirming lid stays open and then load and unload your clothes with only one hand. Not impossible. Very sad and no one needs the frustration of the lid banging on your head.

Worst Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst washing machine I’ve ever had - I would definitely not recommend it. I don’t even want to sell it because I feel bad for whoever would get it. It always stops and says unbalanced no matter what size load I have in there - So a normal load of laundry takes about three hours to finish, super productive right? Also, while it’s trying to Balance it loads with water every single time so it’s a huge waste of water. I can’t reach the bottom of it because it’s so big - so if you’re short steer clear of this one. Along with that- our matching dryer is also the worst dryer we’ve ever had. It never completely dries our laundry the first time - No matter what setting I put it on - I Have to restart it at least twice or it leaves our laundry smelling moldy and needing to re-wash. It’s a terrible circle of awfulness. Just when I thought doing laundry couldn’t get any worse. If you like being tortured anytime your clothes are dirty go head and purchased these.

Less than a month old and breaking down
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My review is on my experience so far. I had the washer and dryer installed march 6 and it us now march 25. It worked fine for the first week and a half. Then it it started giving ur and ub errors. Saying it was unbalanced. I thought it was strange washing sheets and becoming unbalanced when I was told it would have not problems with king sized comforters. Ok the first time just getting used to it. Now it will do it if I wash 6 bath towels everytime. I find it hard to believe that it cant handle a handful of towels. Tonight I tried washing a load of my toddlers clothes and gave the same error. It has been less than a month and already issues. I have to call bestbuy in the morning to see if it was an install issue or a machine issue. If it is a machine issue I will be asking for a new machine probably different brands reading all the other reviews.

Posted .Hey there, Justin. I completely understand how frustrating this must be for you! There are several potential causes for an error code to display on your washing machine, however, often times an unbalanced error shortly after installation implies that the unit is not properly leveled. For further clarification, check out this link that explains all possible error codes and also provides ways to fix and prevent them (http://bit.ly/2GsUweI). I hope you find it beneficial and want to thank you for being a Samsung customer. ^Lo

Great looking machine that disappoints...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this washer with dryer in Feb 2018 from Best Buy. It worked fine for about 2 years, but since then it has been nothing but a headache. The cycle will start and 8-10 mins in error code 8C will begin to flash. The cycle will then restart and same error code will appear. We have the extended warranty thru Geek Squad and they were out 3 times in Feb-Mar trying to rectify the issue and out for a 4th time this month after the issue started occurring every cycle again. We even called Samsung to see if they had any remedy. At this point we have not had a clothes washer for over 30 days. Best Buy can't come back out for 10 days to look at it again. I'm not sure why they won't replace it under their lemon policy. I would avoid Samsung at all costs for appliances.

VERY Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased several Samsung TV's and was VERY pleased with the product and life of the TV's. When we needed a new washer and dryer I assumed it would be a no brainier to go with Samsung. I was VERY wrong! The washer is horrible to wash blankets or sheets. If you have to wash a load of jeans or heavy clothes it could take hours! Our washer is only about a year and a half old and I'm sure it will need to be replaced in the next few years. I am getting ready to purchase all new kitchen appliances and they WILL NOT be Samsung.

Only had for a few weeks leaks everywhere.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed in Samsung and Best Buy. Bought both the washer and dryer and had it professionally installed by geek squad a few weeks ago. It leaks everywhere. My laundry room had 3 inches of water and soap. It then took a week to get a tech out to look at it and will take another week to get it fixed. Don’t know why it needs to be fixed when it’s brand new.
