Quick to load movies and awesome picture quality

Very impressed by the speed and the time it takes to load a Blu-ray movie. The picture quality is great and works well with my Samsung LED TV via blu-wise option. I also like it because it has two HDMI connection ports. The price is a little on the high end but worth every penny.

Great all around blu-ray/dvd internet player

Got this player to replace my Samsung 5500 blu-ray player. Works great, pretty much everything works. Super fast load time on blu-ray movies, no lag here. Apps seem pretty good, 3D looks great. You can play video files (mkv,avi,mp4 etc) through the usb on the front. You may run into some video that won't play for some reason. Just a very good player for blu-ray/dvd video files.

If You Own One Of The Samsung 4Ktv's, U Want This!

Does it make a difference?? Heck yeah!!! Holler!! Please don't expect this to turn your reg (no matter how nice) TV into a 4K set, that's just not going to happen folks! What you can expect if you have a 4K set is just a stunning machine all the way around. Set up is a breeze (and I am no tech guy at all) and that makes life easier. Now to clarify...this is a UHD processor which allows for 4K content (no matter how scarce at the time) to be viewed on your Samsung 4K set! Pretty simple!! The quality difference between this player and let's say a Samsung 3D Blu Ray player is like night and day different, but it will not give let's say the Samsung 8000 series, but even with that set, this unit will rock the house. Let's face it...this is a DVD player meant for a UHD/4K TV!! I hope this helped someone out there. I am always willing to help if I can and only provide information I know to be true. At this time 4/18/2014, Netflix IS NOT streaming ANYTHING in 4K. I repeat IS NOT! What you are seeing on the Netflix Original series "House Of Cards" is just extremely high quality filming and on it's way to being streamed in 4K. when it does broadcast in 4K, the new bar will be set and hang on to your pants kids...this will be a ride in the in home entertainment world like nothing else and at a price point that a lot will be able to swallow. Thanks Best Buy for another smooth transaction allowing me to getter done without ever leaving the comfort of my home. I LOVE the folks at the Dayton Ohio store. They ROCK!!!! If you are on the fence with this one....don't hesitate. It's all that..believe me!

Netflix App Crashed, Best Buy service Lousy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Short Version: Lousy for Streaming via NetFlix. Best Buy Customer Service is Lousy unless you bought the Best Buy warranty. Story: Purchased two of these players day before Christmas, one for us and one for Father-in-law. Bought this to replace a Roku that worked fine and upgrade to Blue Ray and consolidate to one device. Netflix app first started running slow, freezing, then quit working all together. Tried the various fixes online with no success. Netflix app crashed completely and now won't even uninstall and re-install, which is one of the fixes (using arrow sequences on the remote). Tried to return to Best Buy after two months, but since I was past their return policy date and didn't buy the Best Buy extended warranty they referred me to Samsung for service. They would not check it out, exchange it, or even offer a store credit. So word of advice, the ONLY way you will get Customer Service from Best Buy is to PAY for it by Buying the Best Buy warranty. My father -in-law hadn't installed his yet but took it out of the box. Since it was out of the box and past return period, no help from Best Buy on that one either. He has spent $10,000 there during Christmas, 75" UHD Samsung and BMD Marina TV stand. I spent over $2200 on Yamaha Aventage Receiver and Klipsch Speakers. That doesn't seem to matter to Best Buy. We are now using my father-in- law's player for streaming and Netflix app starting to freeze just like the other one. Need to go out of Netflix and go back in to fix. Pandora seems to work fine on both units. This seems to be a problem with the Netflix app on Samsung because never had issue with Roku. Will try contacting Samsung to resolve or get an an exchange but most of the posts I have read concerning Samsung Customer Service have not been very promising. As for Best Buy, No Customer Service and being referred to the manufacturer means no point in buying from them. Might as well just find the cheapest price on line since having a local store offers you zero service advantage unless you buy the extended warranty. Suggest buying a Blue Ray player only and a stand alone device for streaming.

Very easy to use. I read that some had problems with Netflix but I haven't had any so far. The picture is great, even better than my Smart TV , PS3 & PS4. The remote is cheap but I have no issues using my Harmony remote. So far I'm very glad I bought this product.

    Absolutly Best Blu-Ray player!!

The video is crystal clear on all three TVs I've tested it on (32' 720p, 42' 1080p, 3D 062' LED 1080P). The upscale made the 720p look true high definition. The MKV, MP4, and other high def video formats that can be played via USB flash drive is perfect for anyone who works with HD compressed video. Blu-Rays and DVDs load super fast and it is the quietest player I have ever owned. If you don't own a start TV then this is you solution. Built in WIFI is perfect for streaming videos from Netflix and YouTube, haven't tried Hulu yet. Great variety of apps too. I only wish I bought it earlier then I did.

My old brother bluray player went. I wasnt ready to give up my old samsung bd-c7900 model, when I asked my local best buy store which samsung bluray player would be the best, he said the bd-f7500. I have the 7 series samsung smart 3d tv, the picture, sound amd how much more detailed the picture was, I was blown out of my mind. Samsung makes the best products. I cant wait to own a 4k tv in the next couple of years. I recommend buying this bluray player. Its great for a gift, have in your home too!!

My TV -Samsung UN75HU8550F paired with the Samsung BD F7500/ZA. Movie - Captain Phillips remastered in 4K. Blurring occuring with movement. When I tried to minimize the blur with Motion Lighting the quality of the picture decreased. Also, ANYNET did not work when using BD WISE. The picture initally looked fantastic but my attempts to decrease the blurring affected picture quality. BD WISE inhances UHD color but locks out some of the TV controls. The ANYNET function allows 1 remote for TV, BLURAY, & RECEIVER. I had to use 3 remotes when watching this movie. I returned the BLURAY player the next day. I will wait until the UHD BLURAY format matured before buying another player.

Had to buy this product to use with Sonos speakers since it can convert DTS to a Dolby signal. Works great - no loss of clarity. Quick start is a big plus.

    Open box disappointment

I purchased a Samsung BDF-7500 bluray player that an open box item in "excellent condition". When it arrived I immediately opened the package and discovered a bubble wrapped player with nothing included. No remote control, no documentation no nothing. The unit had store stickers on it and even still had a DVD in the tray! When I purchase an open box item, my understanding was that it could be a returned item that was like new. This is a floor model with who knows what kind of abuse and no remote or manual. I will try and get a refund if possible and stick with new merchandise.

    Great Player

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is my first venture into 3D and I have to say, the active 3D beats the old 3D using colored glasses. I have several of the Blu-ray discs that give some players trouble and so far I haven't been able to make this player stumble. Very satisfied with the picture, it does upconvert to 4K. I have tried letting the player do it as well as the tv, I can't tell a difference, it may be the same technology in both devices. Nice addition if you need a 3D player.

This is an excellent quality blu-ray player. If you have a Smart TV, the apps are redundant, but I bought this model due to the 3D capability. Also, set-up with a Samsung TV is very simple, as there are multiple methods to connect the devices via ARC/CEC, etc. It is highly recommended

Has performed as a fast DVD player. Compliments nicely my 55" Seiki 4k TV set . The Lawrence of Arabia blue ray is stunning . The Samsung apps allow upscaling of content to 4k from Netflix , Amazon Prime and Vimeo .

Won't play some new blu ray disk

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This player has received a lot of good reviews but I think I got a lemon. The new TV I have is the Samsung 8550 65 inch model so I decided to go with the Samsung 7500 Blu Ray player. I tried two new Blu Ray disk, just opened, and got the error message "unable to play disk. Try cleaning disk and look for scratches". The one I really wanted to see was Spiderman remastered in 4K but won't play. The blu Ray I was able to play loaded ultra fast. The player has settings that only enhance my new 4K TV so the picture was extraordinary. Based on this I would recommend to a friend. I will be exchanging this player for an exact replacement and will update my review at that time.

Does not meet specs, firmware bugs

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this player to specifically play AVCHD discs. The specs for this player says that it plays AVCHD discs. IT DOES NOT. I have and extensive collection of AVCHD discs that play on all of my older Samsung bluray players, this BD-F7500 rejects them all. I've tried dealing with Samsung tech support - they keep blowing me off. I even posted a review on Samsung.com with the problems of this player, and the post got rejected. There is NO Samsung tech support on this player. Other than that, the player also thinks that MP3 files are video, and errors out. You can also forget about playing other file formats listed in the specs, such as wmv files, etc. They all have problems. And yes, I do have the latest firmware on this unit. 3D playback also experiences motion stutter. Stay away from this player.
