This Samsung BD-F7500/ZA Blu-ray player features DVD upscaling. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.
A: I'm using a Forest and it works great. The Cinnamon is pricey but also works well.
A: It has Pandora and Sound Tracker, but not I heart Radio
Q: I already have a smart tv, how do I ignore the apps on 3d blu ray player?
A: The Apps can often be similar, depending on the model of TV and Blu-Ray player you have. If you want to use the TV's SmartTV option only, you can launch only the TV's SmartTV interface with the TV's remote and not use the Blu-Ray's lineup. Since it's installed on both, there's not a way to "uninstall" the SmartTV features, but you can avoid it by not launching it. If we can help further, please let us know how we can help. Thanks for your support of Samsung products. --Mr.Samsung
Q: WILL THIS UNIT HOOK UP TO AN OLDER TV
A: No. This player has HDMI output and 7.1 surround only. No component, no composite, no s-video outputs.
Q: Is the remote a full QWERTY keyboard?
A: The remote control does not have a QWERTY keyboard, but you can connect a wireless USB keyboard to the Blu-Ray player. The wireless keyboard must be USB and be HID-Compliant (Human Interface Device). Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. Samsung
A: Most blue-ray movies are still in 1080P format, the upscalling is done automatically converting the original source of 1080p or even 780p to 4k. This is assuming you have a 4k TV
A: Cinevia is a copyright-based technology, so unauthorized duplications may not work. --Mr. S
Q: my bd-f5900 can't read the newer bluray discs.
A: whidbeyman, The firmware should be current. If you could reach out to the Samsung customer service center with specific titles that don't work, we may be able to look further into this for you. But most titles on the market today will work just fine with the BD-F7500. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
