I did not think the blue ray would make a difference but even with DVD that are not blue ray they are much more distinct. again, it is very easy to use and with the harmony remote, it is just a push of the button.

This was a great unit in the short time i used it. I returned it since, for the price, it was more beneficial overall for me to go ahead and upgrade to xbox one for my blueray needs. For the price, this unit should include HDMI in like the model under this one (I didn't research well enough and assumed it would since lesser models did). From a usability standpoint, i was particularly impressed with the audio options available (like individual speaker volume levels for weird rooms and the formatting options). If you have other samsung equipment, the anynet capability is very convenient (use one samsung remote to control multiple devices based on current input use. The only real reason i can see to stomach the price on this unit is if you DON'T have a smart tv and need netflix/hulu access and are also in the market for a blu ray player....but good unit regardless of price.

Overall we are very pleased with this 3D blu-ray player. Our original Samsung 3d blu-ray player died after several years and it was out of warranty and no longer cost effective to repair. This blu-ray player is so much better than the old one I am glad the old one died. We were able to remove our aging roku player from the entertainment center and watch Blue-ray/DVDs with this player as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime. The interface is so much better on this unit than the old roku and even the older samsung blu-ray player. That said, this player does have one fault and it can be extremely annoying at times. Sometimes while watching streaming media over Netflix or Amazon Prime, the blu-ray player will crash and reboot itself. Sometimes it doesn't even do that, instead it will freeze the picture and we will need to power it off and then power it back on. Sometimes the picture freezes and the audio will continue playing until we power it off and turn it back on again. We have never encountered this problem while watching blu-ray or DVD discs. Again, overall we are very pleased with this unit. We got a discount on this "open box" unit while we were in the store and the discount we received it is worth the occasional times the unit freezes. If I paid top dollar I might have considered exchanging the unit.

The first one I brought home was overheating for some reason I went back and exchange it, after that, no problems.The picture is amazing! I always want to watch 3D in the comfort of my home. And I'm so glad I spent my money on it. Great quality picture and sound, apps and smart hud makes it apart from the rest.

Easy to set up, great features. The upscaling makes a bigger difference than you would think. Paired to a Smart 3DTV, especially a 60" or larger, it's theatre quality. Highly recommended.

This unit delivers !! Super sleek and modern design. Great functionality, used with a smart tv it will turn on the tv for you and choose the input. Cool feature. Used a monster m series HDMI cable to let this machine pump out amazing graphics with ease. The best 3D blu-ray player I've owned.

This player is top of the Samsung line-up. With that said it one of their priciest models. It performs very well, the picture quality is amazing and so is the sound. Load time is quick and the apps that come with the player are user friendly. Could use a better remote to allow navigate throughout their smart hub apps and it's Internet. Other than that it's a great player I was able to get a lower price here at Best Buy.

We've had this blu-Ray player for about two months now. We purchased it after upgrading to a UHD television. The performance and quality are great and setup was easy.

I bought this DVD player when I bought my 4K TV. I'm very happy with the picture when I watch a Bluray disc. The smart features work great also. It's easy to use.

For those of you that use Zone 2 on your receiver like I do, your choices are getting slim. For some reason the Zone 2 does not support digital signal in most receivers. Why I do not know. So this is a top of the line Samsung near the end of the analog output offering. If you are like me, it is a no brainer to buy this. Support for 3D and 4K keeps you future proof. 2 HDMI out if you receiver does not support 4K (like 99% of us). The Apps work well. I enjoy sitting in my backyard listening to Pandora on Zone 2. As for Blurays and DVDs, I think now all do a great job. Cannot comment on 3D or 4K as I do not have a TV to support this. Replaced an LG that had been a great Bluray but just started to go. Checked for analog options and the pickings are slim now. This is a 2013 model in case you did not know. I bought mine as an open box. You should check for the same options as $200+ seems a little high for this. It should be under $200 IMHO.

I got this player to enhance my viewing experience and as far as that goes it is wonderful. This is my first Blu-ray player and I'm very impressed with the picture quality especially up-converting my very large collection of regular DVDs-- most are nearly or as good as blu-ray. The wifi connection is convenient but mine is so slow I haven't tried streaming anything. The virtual keyboard is kind of a hassle.. There are touch controls on the top right front of the unit that are so sensitive that by just brushing them you can turn the movie off so that you have go thru all the menus etc. to play it again. Also there is no way to play a video in slo-mo reverse. I don't know if this is just the way blu-rays are but any of the many regular DVD players that I've had have all been able to do this. The disc tray doesn't go in or out very smoothly--it hangs up a bit on the door flap. there is a general cheapness to the unit. Cosmetically it is nice enough but is so light and plastic it feels chintzie. The other complaint is that for music the sound is hard and flat. This is not very noticeable on videos but for CDs the sound bothers me. If you're gonna play a lot of music I'd get a dedicated audio player. A plus is there are a lot of both analogue and digital connections to home theater-type components. This unit makes internal clunking noises when changing chapters or tracks on a disc, a minor point since it does what it's supposed to well enough tho slower than I'd like. Overall, the pluses are brilliant video, great up-sampling, and lots of useful connections. Minuses mechanical clunkiness, flawed controls, and general cheap feel.

I'm blown away with the speed of the processor in this thing. I've got an older LG player and had another Samsung that finally died on me and decided on this on to replace it. If your used to blu-rays taking a few minutes to load up, then wait no more with this unit. The menu screens are better intuitive than the older models too, but alas the Internet navigation and going to apps like Netflix are still a little clumsy to get through. I figured that would be at least better in a unit that's labeled as a higher end model. All in all its worth spending a little more for this unit than going bargain basement on a unit that has ancient technology for the demand of the newer blu-ray demands. Also if you purchase this make sure to upload newest software when prompted instead of bypassing till later. Makes a difference also. This unit will also upgrade to UHD televisions. That will have to be my new venture, but if you already have one I'm sure it'll blow you away in picture quality as it did in the best buy stores with the magnolia departments. Just get it you'll love it.

This is a great player for 3-D TV. There are also other options is Wi-Fi capable. It is also very easy to install. Last, the price was very reasonable.

Easy to connect and set up WiFi. Easy to use menus for WiFi and Blu-ray dvd's.. Excellent product support.

I like the upscaling feature on this product. easy to operate, and especially since some movies are coming out with 4k mastery.

Excellent picture in both 2d up converted to 4k and in 3d. Have a 55" 4k Samsung tv and with this player movies are simply amazing. Can't wait for real 4k content. For now it's worth it just to have the extra processing power in this device to load your movie in seconds and there isn't a better practical source for high quality picture.

This is a great 3D bluray player. Not only is it sleek and very good looking but it upscales regular DVDs to near 4K quality. With all the apps and features it may take a while to get used to but it is well worth the time. Make sure you have the correct type cable to go with it so you can experience everything this player has to offer.

1) Samsung's blu ray players are generally sleeker this one was not as sleek as the high end 2011/2012 models. Weird by design as well compared to the above 2 manufacturers. But well that was not a deciding factor as once you have it sitting in your covered TV stand you are not going to notice it much :) 2) I played the same 3D blu ray disc (amazing spiderman)as used to test both of the other blu ray players above. The speed was similar to LG. So not on par with Sony. May be the Sony blu ray player read the disc faster as it is produced by Sony ;) Just kidding. 3) The picture quality was just amazing, way better than the Sony and LG. Very sharp and clear, great colors, contrast. I was blown away by the picture. 4) Remote did not have annoying buttons, is small (same as sony) but silicon or soft buttons (something similar to 2011/2012 buttons, and better). Easy to navigate and operate. 5) Amazon instant video showed up 2 weeks after i got the blu ray player. The app was just great with Samsung interface. Does not check for internet speed every time you have to play a movie from Amazon (like Sony) or any other application. 6) The GUI is slightly boring and yet cool :) It does ofcourse remind you little bit of Windows 8. But it is, easy to navigate through the apps and changing across dlna devices or sources. 7) You can play tons of media files' formats (Sony is restricted to play only .avi). This one plays .mkv, ,mp4, .avi, .mpeg, .vod and many more. So this has one MAJOR ADVANTAGE over Sony.

Picture quality is great. Included apps are a added bonus. Highly recommend this blu-ray player

Picture quality is amzing. Very sleek design. I just don't like that I can't control it with my smart remote on my tv.
