Not as good as I hoped

No bad overall but quirky

Top notch Blu-ray player

I watched the movie Avatar recently on this Samsung Blu-ray player and was most amazed at the quality of the picture and sound. This product is an excellent value from this company.

Great 3D and 4k upscaling

Solid choice

As long as you have a 20+Mbps it works great. Lack of apps holds me back from giving a 5, but I'm sure this will remedy over time.

good looks, bad personality

Looked great, easy set-up and nice picture, but soon developed problems. Loud noise from speakers when pause was used, then loading/eject issues. Finally it would not read any disc so I returned it and exchanged for a Sony BDP-S790. Got my fingers crossed...

Great features for a good price

This player exceeded my expectations and I really like the ability to view my photos and home video from my NAS directly to the DVD player. I really wish the device had an coaxial digital output as I ran out of optical inputs on my home theater.
