Bought this player to team up with my new 60 in 4k tv. Works great together and couldnt be happier with this player.

Overall... Now that blu ray players have come down significantly in price, most of the higher end "blu ray" (not 4K) players, are great compared to ones that first came out when the technology did, or even ones from just 5yrs ago. This one is no exception. Load up times for blu rays are as fast as DVDs used to be on the first players that came out. This one is loaded with tons available apps for a quick download besides what already comes preloaded, and the player comes with plenty of storage space. Apps all load very quickly and movie ones like Netflix start up titles thusly and there is zero lag to full HD quality. This is esp. surprising for me since I couldn't have the BD-J6300 further from the home's router and I'm streaming everything wirelessly. Also, I def do not have what would be considered anything near a top tier streaming speed. Once you have your mobile device paired with it and if you already have the same app open on the BD-J6300 (i.e.: YouTube), playing videos on the flatscreen is one touch on your phone (iPhone in my case) and comes up almost instantaneously. It takes maybe 5 seconds if you don't already have the app open on the BD-J6300. I don't know how the screen mirroring works when paired with a Samsung phone, but I haven't been able to get it to work even after downloading the app for it onto my iPhone. Player worked flawlessly for the first couple weeks, but has occasionally become glitchy now that it's broken in. This so far only happens if the device has been on for a very long time. A simple shut off and on seems to clear this up. Cannot speak for 3D quality or the 4K upscaling as my tv is neither 3D nor 4K. For those hooking this up to a Samsung TV as I am, I personally don't like the BD Wise function as I prefer my personal calibration to this function which calibrates the 2 together "for the best possible picture". I am def not saying it's a bad function, and if you want a nice picture and your not adept to calibrating yourself, it's def a good starting off point for people who have just purchased this with a new Samsung TV. I'm very happy with the BD-J6300 and will use this till it's time for a 4K tv, and thusly a 4K blu ray player.

Easy to set up and connect wifi. Great picture and up scaling is fantastic!

This Blu-Ray player is not sleek or sexy but it serves its function well for upscaling on a Samsung 4K TV. The display is old school and having the buttons on top rather than in the face is a bit hard to manage when placing in a cabinet or on a shelf. Picture is clean and fluid. The only hardware challenge is occasionally having to reconnect to wifi.

It was worth spending a little more money for this Blue Ray player. I purchased a cheaper unit and streaming video never worked correctly.

Though I have a smart TV, I like that this DVD/blu-ray player also has apps built-in that are accessible when connected to my home wifi. In fact, there are times that my older smart TV will lose connection to my router, but I've never seen this with my new blu-ray player. I recently "cut the cord" so to speak, so having quick access to things like Netflix and Hulu are a big plus. I haven't tried a 3D movie just yet, but other movies look great.

this blueray player provides a great picture even when playing older dvds. The apps page gives us more than expected choices for viewing.

Great picture and this had everything you need - all the apps are included which makes it very convenient.

I don't know how many DVD players we have owned over the decades. this Samsung model is good. the set-up is easy and operation is simple, even our wild-man 4yo grandson can operate it. the picture quality is good. I haven't played any CD's on it thru the sound system to really stretch out the audio capacity. but the sound on various Disney videos has been good with nice separation of the instruments. I would recommend this machine for any home use, at this point. we'll see how my Canadian Brass CD's sound.
