Even in a world where every device includes apps for streaming media services, there are times when you have to play physical discs. Netflix doesn't actually stream its entire library for one and some folks actually still have their own discs and need a way to play them. This player fills the niche between technologies and does both well. If you have a disc, you can play it. If you have a subscription to a streaming media service you can run the app. Thanks to HDMI you can plugin one cable and have both audio and video output taken care of.

I had to replace my old bluray player with something that could take care of my Netflix viewing and would be future compatible. I found this to be an relatively inexpensive replacement that will handle any upgrades to a 4k television set. I just use a full HD TV right now. I'm a fan of Samsung products because they usually have better software. I found this bluray player to be nicely designed and fast. My only complaint is it does not support screen mirroring of a phone or tablet unless you use a compatible Samsung one. I could not get my LG phone to screen mirror so I could watch other video streaming services on the TV.

I bought this to replace and old DVD player and was pleasantly surprised. for the price point it has everything you need plus a few extra features.

I love the picture. It brings all our DVD's that aren't blueray to better picture quality.

This player was easy to set up and the picture quality on blu-ray are excellent. Replaced an old Sony that started to buzz only on blu-ray, not dvd.

Perfect for home theatre and 3D compatible for the projector. Still working the kinks out of the 3D but pretty sure it's the projector settings

Wanted an upgrade Blu-Ray player to match my new 4k HDTV. Did research and selected this model and have been very pleased with the results.

Easy to hook up with hdmi cable and works well on regular dvds. Haven't tried a 4K DVD yet but simple to operate and very good picture quality.

I hooked it up to my Samsung 4K tv. The two of them both work great together. It also seems to bring out better sound through my Samsung sound bar.

This will upscale your current blu rays for a 4K TV. Be advised if you want proper surround sound you will need a 4K pass through receiver as well.

This is GREAT! The controls are sensitive, they take very little pressure to work - no more punching buttons! Easy to use menus and works great!!

I have a Samsung tv so I went with Samsung player and was not disappointed.Watched a movie from 20 years ago and it plays in 4K.The upgrading capabilities are wonderful.

This a Christmas present for my Dad. It was recognized by his Samsung 4k TV and has worked very well. It's a little pricey but Best Buy does run on sale from time to time.

There is a problem with the tv turning itself on and off Have had it repaired but it still has the same problem Otherwise I love the quality of the picture and the tv itself

Good product with many things with product that made it item to choose. Use with netflix, quality of product, and price made it a good choice. It is small and that was tempting.

Love this blue ray player, well worth the money. Great picture and we can watch Netflix from it. We never had any issues with Samsung product's.

I found this unit to work very well. It provides an excellent picture and also has a traditional read out on the faceplate of the unit.

Good player that transfers an excellent upscaled picture with older DVD's. Remote control is easy to operate but the unit controls are more complex with a poor design.

Bought to match unit with new tv. The set up was very easy and picture is good. I wanted something easy to set up and use and this fits the bill
