Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Chromebook Plus 2-in-1's touchscreen, ease of use, lightweight design, and good battery life. Many appreciate its convenient size and performance capabilities. However, some users express disappointment with the sound quality of the speakers and the lack of a standard USB port. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding the less-than-ideal audio and port selection.

It could be a good secondary device but the whole Android app part is not ready for every day use. It might be great in a year.

    Printing/blue tooth issues

I bought it today and returning it tomorrow. It can't connect via blue tooth to any of my devices, and it can't find my printer. On my tablet and phone I just press "print" and I'm done. With Chrome, you can only print through Google Cloud and, for some reason, it can't seem to find my "cloud-ready" printer. Too many bugs that need to be worked out. I'll stick with Android for now.

Great little chromebook, but I'd need to have it 350 or under to really justify it vs. the other models.

I think the thing costs too much- outside of it being limited as a chromebook it did function well.

The hardware was very well put together. The screen quality was very good, the colors look crisp, and overall it was very responsive. My main issue with this are the apps. Google can do far more by way of quality control when it comes to apps for Chromebooks. I would describe at least 50% of them as being at best "glitchy".

So I originally had the Asus Flip Chromebook and was looking to upgrade my son's laptop since you can use the Google Playstore. For the $400 price tag it really wasn't worth the price because my older Flip can do everything equally as smoothly at 1/3 the price.

    Best Chomebook yet

I have owned a chromebook since they first came out in 2011. I am an experienced Google cloud user so I start with the knowledge of lots of past experience. First of all, it is a beautiful machine, similar to a macbook pro just to give you an idea of looks. It is just over 2.5 pounds so very portable, my battery so far has been around 7 hours as an average, I am a power user and often stream video, radio or music while working from the cloud. This machine handles it easily. My power notebook is a Surface Pro3 I5, so I am able to compare this to a powerful windows machine. I also love the ability to use android apps as I am an android phone user. My only negative so far, is the lack of backlit keyboard, that would have made it almost perfect. You get an extra 100 gb of free google drive space for 2 years free which is nice. I picked this up on the first day it was available with the understanding that I could return it if I didn't like it. I am keeping this for my run around machine. I love it.

Great resolution. After 2 weeks the display started getting jittery and doing what it wanted to. I reset it twice, but no good. They should have replaced it immediately for me, but it was after the return date. They have to send it in for repair. It's supposed to be about 2 weeks. Not cool Best Buy!!!

2017 Chromebook that runs Android Apps

I have been waiting for this Chromebook ever since it was announced a while back. Picked one up today. It wasn't even out on display yet. I researched many Chromebooks over the last month and wanted to wait for this model. This is the Plus model, a faster processor model will come out later (Pro). I couldn't wait and decided to buy this model. I'm glad I did! The looks and feel of the unit are premium. It feels like a high end MS Surface. I thought the screen would be small but at the factory display setting it's fine. You can change the resolution and the screen becomes highly usable. However, I would need my glasses! They keyboard feels great. The keys feels good and they have a good response. This isn't a high end Macbook but it it's very nice for the price. The performance has been great. I have downloaded a lot of Android apps from the Play Store. I haven't ran into an issue other than the Android version it is emulating seems to be Marshmelow so a couple apps were not there yet. (like Microsoft Office apps) You can still access the web based versions for now. There are two USB C ports which you can use a dongle to add additional ports and options. Overall I am happy so far. I needed a new machine for web browsing and some productivity without the hassle of installing windows updates. A majority of my work can be done on this machine, especially with the ability to run Android apps. The only negative I would add is that out of the box there was very little charge on the battery and the first update took a while to download. The laptop seems to charge pretty fast though and the battery time has been great all day. I really like the Pen. As a former Note 7 owner\tester I really miss having a pen on a device. I have a Surfacebook and the pen doesn't fit inside so I never bring it with me. The pen on this laptop fits inside so you will always have it. It's great for making sketches. I'm sure I will use it more.
