Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Chromebook Plus 2-in-1's touchscreen, ease of use, lightweight design, and good battery life. Many appreciate its convenient size and performance capabilities. However, some users express disappointment with the sound quality of the speakers and the lack of a standard USB port. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding the less-than-ideal audio and port selection.

Best Chromebook I've used since Google Pixel

I've owned a number of Chromebooks; I've returned most of them because of sluggish performance, lack of versatility, or poor build quality. I'm not planning to return the Samsung Chromebook Plus. Excellent screen, very good keyboard, nimble performance, lightweight, excellent battery life, and solid feel. I was a little worried about the keyboard, because it's ever so slightly smaller than a standard keyboard, but my worries were unfounded. I'm a fast typist, and I find myself writing faster and with far fewer errors than I can on my MacBook Pro. I haven't used the stylus yet, and may never; nothing I do with the machine requires it. But overall, I love it, and it's become the laptop that I use more often than any other machine I own.

Solid performance, Slim Build, Great Battery Life

My Nexus 9 tablet I had from 2 years ago had started showing it age, so I was looking to upgrade. Now that Chromebooks support Android Apps, I thought this would be a good replacement as it would also offer me a keyboard. Off the bat, I noticed that the build quality is really good. When you go to the Best Buy Chromebook display it immediately stands out compared to the thick and bulky plastic units next to it. It's lightweight and slim. In tablet mode, it does feel a bit large, but I notice on my normal couch browsing, I'm more likely to use it laptop or tent mode anyway. I was concerned about performance since it's using what's basically a phone processor and not a more powerful Intel processor, but it hasn't been a problem at all. I've run multiple Android apps, had over 25 tabs open, watched multiple 1080p Youtube streams and it's all been buttery smooth. I've been really impressed with this performance. So far, most Android apps have worked well for me. There have been a few that have crashed but none of my more important ones. I imagine as Chromebooks using Android apps take off, developers will start to test them on Chromebooks to make sure they work flawlessly. Battery life is great too, about 7 - 8 hours usage for me. It's a huge change from my tablet that only got 4 - 6 hours. The biggest downside is getting used to ChromeOS which just takes some getting used to.

I don't like this chromebook. Crashes many times and no office 365 app for offline word and excel. Also unlike Apple iPad the apps that show up can not all be downloaded as when you try most say not supported on this device :(

Rated one of the best with a price tag to match but extremely disappointed. Unless I am sitting in front of the router I have no connection. Our laptops and other tablet work everywhere throughout the house.

Spontaneous reboots and screen locks up.

Had problems right from the start with the Samsung Chromebook Plus. At least twice a day it will either spontaneously reboot or the screen will go black and I then have to hold the power button for a long time to get it to shutdown and the start it up again. It always recovers but it is very annoying. Since I thought it was a software issue, I unfortunately did not return it within 14 days and now I am tangling with Samsung support and they tell me that I may be charged $55 for diagnosis if they cannot find the problem. I am not at all happy with this purchase. It does have a nice display.

Samsung Chromebook Plus has touchscreen glitch

The first time I took it out of the box and powered it on it has a glitch. The touchscreen started randomly opening apps as if I was clicking on the touchscreen. But I was not driving it. I googled it and found this is a common issue with this model. I expect more from Samsung. Especially at $450 for a premium Chromebook. Feels flimsy compared to my older $250 Asus Chrome flip book.

I love (almost) everything about it

This is an amazing chromebook, with the OP1 processor really wowing me and the brilliant display to boot. I bought it because I needed one for school, so I figured I would get one that I would enjoy using at home too. It runs every android app like butter, unlike the acer flip. I like the 2:3 aspect for writing papers and browsing web pages, but it does mean that videos will have those black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. I really wish this had a back-lit keyboard, and that the keyboard weren't so cramped. The cramped feeling goes away with use, and thus adaptation, but I have not yet developed night vision to see the keys in the dark. Overall a great Chromebook, and the one that suits my needs probably the best, as the Asus and pixelbook both run on Intel, which does not natively run Android apps.

As far as chrome books go this is the best, just not for me. I love my macOS. I just purchased this to play around with it for awhile and see what all the fuss is about.

I did not like the look, feel or anything else about it. Felt like it was cheaply made and it had no bonuses over a standard laptop. I would not recommend.

Maybe a bit of an emotional burn on this one, so take it with a grain of salt. After saving her money for quite some time, this was my young daughters first computer of her own. Over the course of 50 or so days, but less than 10 hours into it, the machine stops powering on altogether (it had been running slow with delays leading up to that as well). Thankfully BestBuy understood and allowed the return. Maybe we got a bad unit, but we won't be buying another one of these!

It's light and small enough to be a good laptop option for kids. But the build quality is rather flimsy. The body bends too easily. the Area under the trackpad feels squeshy. But all these can be accepted if the screen works well. But after only 6 months, the screen now has a mind of its own. It jumps, jitters, zooms in/out, closes windows ... on its own.

Purchased 7/21/18 from best buy in Ocala florida. Worked great until 8/01 19. As soon as the 1 yr warranty expired the unit started to malfunction. Now the screen flickers constantly. Any application that is open resizes as if someone is touching the mousepad.
