this is my second Samsung dvd player with upconversion

Works great, great picture, sound is great, love it

Price was recently reduced, which made a great deal.

I wanted a simple DVD player that had an HDMI cable. I upgraded my TV's to smart ones and needed that. This fits the bill and works great - what else can I say? Samsung always comes through!

Quick delivery time, product as described, plays both dvds and cds very well, easy to use remote and easy to connect and set up,

It's pretty decent, but I feel the upconversion to 1080p is kind of lacking. It could be better. I don't really feel like it's Blu-Ray quality converting DVDs to 1080p. It's close, but it's not Blu-Ray quality. But, still, I'll take it being that I only have DVDs and no Blu-Ray discs which is why I got the player in the first place. I went with Samsung over Phillips b/c although the Phillips was $5 cheaper, I had it a few years ago with a previous TV, and it broke pretty quickly. This one seems like the build quality is better. I have it hooked up to an LG 42" 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV. I'm pleased, but not blown away. It's a 4 out of 5.

I purchased this DVD player mainly due to its price, but was very surprised to find what a good player it is. A child could set it up and it has a lot of features for the price. Very happy

Purchased this DVD Player for our daughter as a compliment to the Samsung 46" TV. They work well together. Very easy to connect and even easier to operate.

I am old school. I play dad's to watch movies. My old player was skipping badly and always at the best part. I am so happy with my new DVD player. It was easy to hook up and easier to use.

We were looking for a DVD that would be easy to install and connect to our samsung tv and this DVD met those requirements.

I bought this dvd player to replace one that was a dvd/vhs player. It did not work with my vintage tv. I swapped it with my parents's vintage dvd player. We now both have working dvd players and are happy.

Needed a 2nd dvd player, but didn't need all the latest bells and whistles. This player fit the bill nicely and doesn't require an electronics degree to operate it. Thank you!

I replaced an very old player with this; technology has changed so much and I now have one that actually upgrades to HD. Great item and a great price!

i bought this because i promised my niece one for her bedroom. it seems to be good quality...basic features...caught it on sale for a good price.

I bought this for a very good friend who is 87 years old and not wonderfully trech savvy. She has had no problems using it for her personal dvds.

Samsung does it again, it syncs up with my Samsung smart TV, so when you turn off the DVD player, it switches to Cable automatically! Great quality output and crisp picture

If you need a cheap, small DVD player this is for you. It is very slow to open and start but you get what you pay for. In today's world of push a button and something happens NOW, this does not fit in.
