This was an open box purchase. I had to return it because parts were missing.

The product didn't connect with my large screen TV so, I wasn't able to use it.

Not compatible with tv due to mounting? It should have been explain before purchase...

This is a great DVD player!! Definitely can't beat the price!! Very easy to connect. I would definitely recommend this to anyone & everyone in the market for a DVD player with HD Upconversion! Samsung never disappoints!!

this dvd player is perfect. plug and play with hdmi cable and you're good. the issues mentioned by others must be isolated incidents. the remote works fine and it provides more features than what comes with more expensive dvd player options. if you have a samsung tv, you can use the remote to control it. the product is stylish and takes up very little space. unless it blows up tomorrow, i think that i got a steal for the price that i paid.

It only lasted 3weeks. Hope the replacement last longer!

I bought this for my mother so I didn't have to keep moving my PlayStation 3 back and forth. Setup was easy, the picture is clear, and it looks good with our Samsung TV.

This unit is much more than I expected for the money. Great picture, fast load times, basic easy to use controls. I am very impressed at how quiet this player runs. I really can't hear a thing. Very impressive. My only complaint (I was aware before purchasing) is that the unit does not have any audio digital outputs. Coax or optical. Only analog L/R. For me it was not an issue. However, potential buyers need to know that this feature is missing. All and all, I would strongly recommend this player to anybody looking for a nice small upconverting DVD player.

Purchased for my mom. She doesn't do well with complicated electronics. It's was easy to install, affordable, and pretty easy to operate.

It's a DVD player, the purchase was to match the TV to reduce Remotes sitting around. It's clear on RCA better on composite (worst idea ever; cables everywhere) HDMI crisp as DVDs can get. Colourful. Very little pixelation. It's a simple box, the less gizmos the better on DVD, switch to bluray if you want more.

I just bought this cheap DVD player, to use over the next year or so - with the intention of getting a Blu-ray player. The picture quality of the movies is great. The movies also have a high definition quality because of it being connected to an HDTV with an HDMI cable. However, my main complaint is that not all of the functions on the remote control work properly. Perhaps this has to do with the programming of my cable tv and regular tv remote along with the use of this one. I cannot get the remote to go to a movie's main menu. I also noticed that the subtitle function doesn't work on it either. It's a good, cheap DVD player, but it's not the best of the best of them.

I like this Samsung DVD player for it's price, quality and functionality.

This is a simple DVD player. It is easy to use, great picture quality, easy remote control.

While I would love to have the bells and whistles for the DVD Player, I don't really need them. That is why this DVD player is perfect. Easy set up--got the HD cable separately. Not sure why folks say there is no "On" indicator as the unit has the digital display right on the front. That is how I know it is on, or off. Worth the great price I paid for it when it was on sale.

I had purchased a SONY DVD player and could not get HDMI cables to work; when I used the color-coded cables, was able to get it working, but was unable to switch out of Letter Box mode without have an icon show up on the screen and stay there. Returned SONY and purchased the Samsung; the HDMI cables hooked up in a flash, the picture was great, it has a front display and EZ view, which allows you to choose the screen function you wish to have appear. All for the same $44.00 as the SONY. Couldn't be happier so far.

Most important it includes Audio R/W Outputs. NOW Modern Blu Ray doesnt include it. This player is HDMI ready & includes RARE Component (red/green/blue) hookup as another 2nd best option if you don't use HDMI. I chosen Samsung bc it had these extra features also LED window display.a wonerful plus. If you need a non Blu Ray player with a budget price tag ($44.) from a Excellent top Brand. This device you can't go wrong. Highly recommended Up conversion DVD player with no worries & leaving you with no regrets of purchase!

I bought this unit to replace one that I thought was bad. I installed this one and it worked beautifully, although the problem in my system was still there. While I had it I went ahead and used it to see how it worked. It performed exactly as specified. Nice DVD player for a great price.

This is a nice DVD player that fits in right next to my tv in my kitchen. This looks like a state of the art, high end DVD player but is VERY easy to use. Thank you Samsung and Best Buy, this is the best and cheapest I could find anywhere!!

I don't watch movies a whole lot, so it isn't worth buying Blu-Rays and a Blu-Ray player. However I do want a quality picture on my HDTV when I do watch movies on DVD. This was a great choice at a great price.
