What is there to really say, it's easy to hook up, quality is good, haven't found anything that we don't like about it.

I wanted to get a simple DVD player (not ready for BlueRay yet) to replace an one that was starting to have troubles, and couldn't upconvert. This was actually hard to find - everyone seems to want BlueRay now and that's nearly all that's available, and the players cost a little more. We don't own any BlueRay discs, and can't see paying more for them - the regular DVD is really great resolution - at least for our eyes! So, this is compact, easy to setup, does HDMI to our new screen (720p), and the two devices seem to negotiate the picture size really well so it fills the screen as best it can, whatever the aspect ratio of the source, without distortion. The upconversion is lovely - very sharp and clear. Motion is smooth. I'm a "casual" movie watcher, but my wife (whom this is for, really) is avid - usually a movie every night.

I never thought we would need a dvd player ever again, but our office was in need of one. Very pleased...it's simple and slim.

Other dvd players only play some of my dvds. Samsung players play ALL my dvds PERFECTLY with no gliches, loud noises, or complaints. I am sold. from now on only SAMSUNG for ME!!!

It does exactly what it says it does: upgrades your non-high definition DVDs to high definition. If you have an extensive DVD collection and are not ready to upgrade to BluRay, this is the DVD for you. You will have to purchase a HMDI cable to connect it to your TV. I bought the cheapest cable I could find and it still works great.

Even though this is a basic DVD player I find this product to be amazing. I never have issues with it, it's easy to use and it looks great.

Great DVD player. Have not had any issues with it yet. Produces a great picture for HDTV. Very thin and takes up minimal room.

I needed a DVD player fast. Took recommendation of sales associate. Great player at an affordable price.

Decent quality DVD player. A little slow when loading though, and a little noisy too.

After three months, the electronic display is no longer functioning. Just holding the machine, you get the feeling that you get what you pay for. It does not feel solid, and when the electronic display was working, it looked cheap and unreliable. I would highly recommend paying more and getting something that will last.

This is my latest Samsung product and I could not be more happy. Samsung products always deliver a combination of great value to quality

I purchased this DVD player for my mom, she loves to watch movies at home, she loves it, she wants to watch her favorites movies again and again.

This is an ordinary DVD player with ordinary performance which is all I was expecting in the $40 range. I like its small size but don't like the distracting noises when a disc is loading and searching. Low talkers in a movie might not be heard, so keep the remote handy. You'll also want to place the player in a well-lighted area because its black-on-black buttons can be difficult to see. The remote is adequate and works well. Over all a fair deal.

This player supports DIVX format, meaning; if you back up your movies on your computer or if you purchase downloaded movies online in DIVX format, (you can also convert them to DIVX format), you can burn up to 8 or 9 standard size movies on a single DVD and play them using this player.
