i got this dvd player for a great price....open box item...no problems so far

this device really helped me watch dvds that would not work on any other dvd player

Works very well. Found it on sell and it has a lot of good features.

I bought this under the impression that Samsung was good brand, which it is. However, I'm deeply disappointed in this one. I bought, I thought for a fairly decent price. Every single disc I put in to watch, the dvd player would skip horribly to the point where I could only watch 5 seconds of the movie before getting upset. I put in a BRAND NEW disc and I ended up skipping chapters of the movie because it would skip terribly and get stuck. I would actually have to shut it off and turn it back on to advance to the next chapter. Please stick a little extra money into your electronics and DO NOT buy this one! They don't make things like they used to. My $20 dvd player just died after 5 years....this Samsung doesn't even compare to it.

I selected this unit because it advertises that it plays mpeg-4 files in avi format. It does not. Tech support is not very helpful. Plan to return.

Average DVD Player. It is pretty loud compared to others.

Lots of nice things about this item, but if you are watching something that isn't nominally loud, you can hear the disc spinning. I'm returning it.

This was going to be perfect! Inexpensive, small and lots of features. I bought it o watch a movie sometimes after my little boy went to bed. So you might think this is an exaggeration, but I kid you not! Not only did the grinding, rumbling sound between chapters WAKE my son up in the other room, the constant whirring was louder than my TV at 20% volume... The fan or whatever it is, was louder than a microwave. I need to be semi-quiet for my light sleeper, but i ended up with a migraine(!) and a wide awake kiddo. Wanted to love it. Back to best buy :(

After I put a DVD in, it says there is NO disc. I've tried a couple. Then Best Buy (?) says after 15 day's, they will not do anything. They use the date that UPS handed it to USPS. So beware of bestbuy.

While very easy to set up, this DVD player won't play a single DVD. I tried multiple DVD, all in very good condition. It was able to get 30 minutes into one movie before getting stuck in a loop, but that was the best it did. With all other DVD's, it either couldn't play them at all or would get stuck within the first 5 minutes. I returned it to the store and replaced this with an LG DVD player that so far has played all DVD's without a problem. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

Average product. Do not play all the formats compared to other products at this price range.

Bought at Christmas for myself. I know it was on the lower end price wise, and didn't expect a lot. But 3 months later, the lights are out, and it has a loud grinding noise, and some disc's don't work at all. Disappointed.

Had this for a month started to freeze up, returned and replaced with same unit. Same results. Would not recommend.

Don't waste your money. Rarely works. Have to unplug to get it to work again

When the warranty ran out it wouldn't read disk's.
