This purchase was exactly what I needed to be able to watch DVDs on an older television. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I would definitely recommend this model to those who do not need the features on some of the more advanced models.

Bought this Dvd player for my Grandparents so they could watch netflix. It plugged in and turned on. Now they have a dvd player woth a good picture. I would say it is a good dvd player for the price.

The player has good sound, great picture, and other features, which is nice. What I don't like about it is that it is a little slow in responding when you puch buttons on player itself. Makes you wonder if the connection went thru, so you push it again.

The price is good for a player that performs the basic functions. I was unable to use the [fast forward] or [fast reverse] buttons on the remote to locate a specific scene on a disc. The unit has a small footprint and is simple to use right out of the box.

I was very impress with the quality of this DVD player. Considering it's not a blue ray player, this unit indeed up grades the picture of your regular DVD movies. Very easy to connect to any TV Set. Sony watch out this competitor is gaining momentum .

I bought this DVD player to use as a CD player, connected to an older receiver with only RCA in jacks. This DVD player has both HDMI out and RCA audio out jacks--hard to find both these days. This player cost $100 less than dedicated CD players, and can do double duty as a DVD player (with upconversion) should I ever want to use it for that purpose. Simple and easy to use; power up receiver and choose CD; power up DVD player, open the tray with open/close button (both on included remote), put in a CD--it plays automatically. What could be easier? Cheaper and more versatile than a dedicated CD player.

Samsung lives up to its good name again with this top notch DVD player. First, it's user friendly , very versatile in its hookup, delivers great upconversion picture and sound, easy to operate, and is very reasonably priced.......how can you top that? Along with the usual pamphlets, Samsung offers an indepth online manual so any questions can be easily addressed, nice to know if the need arises. I'm very pleased with this unit and will be back to Samsung for my next electronic purchase.

This is another outstanding product delivered by Samsung. I knew what type of product I wanted, and this exceeded my expectations by far. I already own a Samsung LED tv, so this was a great compliment to ny home theatre system!!

This is a great DVD player with HD up version video quality. I did not want to upgrade all my DVD's to Blue Ray so I purchased this DVD player and I've been very impressed with the video quality of every DVD I've watched with this.

Bought this for my Mother who is a senior citizen and isn't a technology whiz. So far so good. Buttons on remote and the unit could be more distinct for easy visualization, but over time familiarity will override that problem.

I had a very outdated DVD player, so I purchased this product to go with my Samsung HDTV. The setup was super easy and quick. I've only had the DVD player a month, but everything works great, and the picture quality is great.

Usually I only buy Divx compatible players, but since DVD players are becoming more scarce in general, it isn't as easy to locate them. The ridiculous push for BluRay has ruined the options for DVD players. But as far as DVD ONLY players go this device is doable. Personally, I'm not really interested in a large feature set (aside from Divx compatibility), but it is there on this device if you want it. Lots of options and media support. No "online" functions, but just a good basic DVD player. My main interest is in durability. I'm sick of buying products that only last 6 months. I have had this for 3 and so far no problems, but we will see as time goes one. I've had pretty good luck with Samsung products in the past so I'm pretty confident I won't be disappointed.

This is a low-cost reasonable player and a good value for what we paid for it. We wanted something that basically would just play DVDs with nothing fancy, last a long time and be low cost - that is exactly what we got.

Used an HDMI cable to install to a Samsung HD smart TV 40 inch screen. Bought the TV from Best Buy also. The HDMI cable has to be bought separately. Beautiful sharp picture. Set up was quick and easy. Once again quality gear at competitive prices.

At this point a simple did player is old technology, and I only wanted to know that it worked well without any hidden issues. It has worked very well for me, and is easy to setup and use.

This DVD player provides good quality at an excellent price. It is compact and plays several different formats.

This is a great DVD player for the price. I purchased this for our bedroom and did not want to pay a lot. I wanted a HD player and this player has that capability. I would recommend this to anyone who does not want to spend a lot but wants HD quality.

Samsung DVD player: great machine! I didn't get a Blu-Ray player because I have an older television so what would be the point. This player has a crisp picture and great sound. I was surprised by the remote - it isn't much bigger than my smartphone!

Great picture, doesn't take forever to load a disc, but the tray mechanism sounds clunky--makes me wonder when it's going to break--been using it for months with no problems, but still, clunky sounds worry me.

Easy to use and plays movies great. Remote control is intuitive and easy to use also. I use it in a RV and never skips as I hit a bump going down the road
