Also, as a warning, Snapdragon chip is not compatable with any Adobe product, so beware if you use photoshop or acrobat, they do not work on this laptop.

Black Display on 2nd Day of Use

Pc would still turn on and boot animation would show but black screen after booting. Returned. My 2nd Samsung PC and my 2nd Returned Samsung PC. 1st had overheating issues. SMH. No more Samsung PC's for me.

A strong Macbook competitor

The laptop itself is super thin, light weight, solid, with amazing display. I'm not a gamer, just using it for typical web surfing, watching videos/documents. The battery life is around 12 hours or so. However, I would expect the battery life to drop to 8~9 hours if you use a lot X86 apps. Microsoft is to blame. Just can't get back to Intel/AMD laptops for the crazy fan noise and bad battery life.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Book4 Edge for the last few days, and I'm amazed at how good it is. Samsung's always had great OLED screens, and this laptop is no exception. But here's what's different between this and previous laptops: 1) The Snapdragon chip is crazy fast, and sips power. It's amazing to go a whole day with the screen at 100% brightness. And the responsiveness and the speed of the processor is astounding. 2) Samsung's previous laptops have had poorly tuned touchpads, and I'd often have to turn off the various windows gestures. No issues here. 3) The thinness and the lightness of the laptop for a 16" model is stunning. 4) I've been able to run a number of games at 1920x1080 resolution at 30+ fps. The AI up scaling isn't turned on for most games by default, which is a bummer, but I expect that to increase over time. 5) The best thing about it is the speed that it turns on from sleep. As in, instantaneous. You open the laptop and it's on. If the laptop is open but asleep, and you touch the fingerprint power button, it's instantly on and you're logged in. It feels more like a tablet than a windows PC. I'm a little sad there's no Windows Hello facial recognition, but that's pretty much it. Everything else is fantastic!

I was seriously exicted getting the latest snapdragon and that too from my fav product brand Samsung! Its 2 hours, since I had this laptop. I usually work with laptop on my lap. Once the laptop booted, I could feel the laptop heat. I thought it would go away after the bootup and now the system is ready, but its still the same. The last time I had a heat issue from a laptop was back in 2012 that was a HP. I could hear the fan sound and the laptop fan area became hot, though am not gaming, just regular browsing. I have a surfacebook2 which works fine even now without the fan sound/heat issues. I like samsung products, but this one is a miss from samsung. There could be other nice things, but there is discomfort using it like this for me.
