Chrome interface has a learning curve and does not allow the use of many Android apps in the Play store.

Met all my requirements: light, thin, good Intel CPU (i3), 8 GB RAM, at least 128 GB storage, long battery life. The screen is good and bright (a little glare though). As a life-long computer scientist with experience with many operating systems, ChromeOS is a pleasure. So far every device I've used with it (USB, Bluetooth or WiFi) has connected and worked, no questions asked. No drivers to install. The camera is fine although not as sensitive at low light levels as my other laptops. So far any Android app I've wanted has worked. The touchscreen works well with the $24 USI stylus I bought. I got it open-box which was a bargain.

Would anything get the job done? Yeah, probably. This one, though, has a nice smooth screen, BACKLIT KEYBOARD (yesssss), and that red finish is eye-catching. Bought this on a sale, no regrets.

Not only does my work require my laptop but I am also a full time college student. The memory is good for the price and it has yet to slow down on me for how much I have stored.

Good Looking Chromebook That Performs

This chromebook is replacing a Celeron model from 4 years ago. What a difference. I can open multiple tabs and apps without any lag. The only thing that would make this better would be to have an HDMI port but not a big deal. All the new laptops have USB C. External USB C devices have worked without any issues. I have a 4K video cable and an 8 in 1 USB C Dock with Power Delivery and they worked right out of the package, no drivers required.

The keys were all there and working. Touch screen has no problems. Great price it was a Great deal. I would definitely buy a reboxed laptop from Best Buy again and they brought it to me sitting in my car.

Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. It's normal for the fan to get louder if the PC is working hard, and it should quiet down when your task is complete. Gaming and video rendering are notorious for pushing a computer as well. ChromeBook is fabulous - if your not using apps - you do not need a Windows machine. I surf/email/ and watch TV in bed with this device -perfomance/battery life is great for a home user -
