I wish I could give this product a lower rating, but If I did, I would not be allowed to write a review. I purchased this at a very low price, from BEST BUY. The low price should have tipped me off but I just thought I was lucky. I should have known better. Samsung was dumping defective merchandise. The hinges that they use are too fragile for the purpose. I noticed the screen was sticking up on opening. Getting more difficult to open. I finally looked up loose/sticking hinges on Samsung Chromebooks. I was greeted with page after page describing the problem . The horrifying conclusion? That with repeated use, you know, like opening and closing the laptop, the screen stands a very good chance of breaking. Thus rendering the computer useless. I went to the Geek Squad at the Pleasant Hill, Ca. store and they told me that I was Sh%t out of luck. The 1 year warranty doesn't cover physical damage. Physical damage, you know, like opening and closing a laptop. So now I have a laptop that is playing the part of a desk top. It turns out that there are numerous class action lawsuits against Samsung for this very issue of defective hinges on various products, not just Chromebooks. I have a Samsung TV and phone and when it comes time to replace them, I will buy anything other than a Samsung. They are a shoddy company flogging shoddy merchandise. I am so done with them.

There is no way to plug in various USB-C plug ins for charging, etc.

Perfect for what my daughter needs. She can use her Wacom drawing tablet with this easily.

First and foremost, if you are considering this unit... please do your homework on what a Chromebook is and isn't as a technology. I won't hit all the differences on a Chromebook vs Windows vs a Mac in this review, but there are key things you need to be aware of, when considering a Chromebook over those. This little Chromebook is just awesome for what it does. Very light, very compact. Uses a simple USB-C adapter for charging, which opens up a ton of options to have a spare, or have them readily available where you go, as well as bringing an extended battery with you. (not that you will need it, as the battery lasts a LONG time). First from the outside, this Red metallic is just stunning. sleek, looks great, and really stands out.. The lid opens very easily and smooth, and stays where I put it. The keyboard is a good size for most users... I have bigger hands and was able to use the keyboard with no issues. The touch-screen is a very nice addition, as for something, instead of moving the cursor, I can just tap it. Speed... this unit is almost instant on. Especially out of SLEEP mode, as soon as you open the lid, it s ready to use. As with all Chromebook's, you will need a Google account to use. That is your login. That is one downside for me, as my Google password is almost 45 characters, and all sorts of goofy symbols. That took a little while to get entered in, but once in... I can use a PIN to open it up on this device. The device needs wifi connectivity to be most effective, very few features are available when you are not connected. When connected, I am pretty much getting the full speed my WiFi access point allows. It is slated as WiFi 6 compatible, but I don't have a matching access point... anxious to see if I can hit those massive speeds promised by WiFi 6. I use this as a device for Web Access (via Chrome browser), streaming videos, some Google Play apps. I can access Google Docs and work with some of my documents and spreadsheets that I have stored there. I am going to getting a compatible pen to work with it, so I can use this for drawing and not taking, as it is small enough, this would be great in meetings (or classes) where you can write notes and drawings. If you are looking for a device to add to your computing resources, or a good device for most school needs, this is one that you can get. Note, this is a Chromebook. It will play Web based games, and some mobile based games... but can't play larger PC or MAC games, it just isn't compatible. Also other programs like TurboTax, you would need to use the WEB version (which is okay, they are fairly good). So as noted at the start, know what a Chromebook is, and what it can and can't do (independently of the great hardware on this unit).

Love it it is exactly what I needed. I thought I would need a bigger screen but turns out it's exactly the right as l size.

This was a great device, I returned it because it was not the best for my work needs, BUT I would recommend this for most people. The screen is beautiful and Chrome is so user friendly
